The story of how this particular 'West Virginia boy' found his place in Calgary, Alberta is too long for this short space. However the pivotal plot point is that his journey really began when he met the love of his life in 2012. He first saw Mardi at her parents place and looked at her and said to himself - I am going to get that girl.

While Mardi grew up in rural Priddis, west of Calgary, her love of travel has taken her to the far corners of the globe. However, her heart finally found it's home when she met this good looking guy Jacob while he was out at her Priddis ranch. It was Jacob's superb diving and horseback riding skills that first caught her eye but that it was his personality that instantly won her heart.

Between busy lives, Jacob and Mardi love traveling, skiing and getting out to enjoy the ranch with their dog "Arlo". Four years later, little did Mardi know, the last horseback ride of the year would lead to a surprise proposal. Good thing they were off the horses when he popped the question, as her scream could've added another level of excitement to the event! They are thrilled to be officially tying the knot at the Banff Springs on July 8th.
