For guests flying in,(and coming straight to the island) we recommend flying non stop to Athens (Eleftherios Venizelos) airport and renting a car. Drive to the port of Rafina which is a 20 min ride. (Taxis, Ubers and buses are also available) From there you can board any of the three major ferries that stop at the island. Andros is usually the first stop and is approximately 2 hr from the port of Rafina. You can choose to take the super jet and arrive in 1 hr. (Weather permitting) you will need to buy a separate ticket for the car and drive it in to the ferry.

For those staying in Athens first, we recommend flying non stop to Athens (Eleftherios Venizelos airport) and taking metro or taxi to down town Athens. Multiple hotels and airbnb available in the surrounding area. We do not recommend renting a car if you will be in Athens down town. You can get around by foot, metro(highly recommend) or Taxi. I will attach a few options on hotels for Athens under here.

Athens downtown to Rafina port is approximately an hour give or take with traffic and time of day and average taxi fare is 50 euro to take you there.

The island is large and you will need a rental once there. So plan accordingly.
