Nick and Marisa have been to Hawaii and still consider the acai bowls from this food truck the best they've had. There's also a coffee truck called Coffee Ave next to it that is great. Nick and Marisa always stop by AT LEAST once for a bowl and coffee when they return to the area.

Nick and Marisa were frequent visitors when they lived on Okaloosa Island and always make a stop when they return to the area. They have delicious tacos and great weekly specials. This is still one of Marisa's favorite taco joints!

This was Marisa and Nick's favorite place for a boozy brunch! They have a great bottomless mimosa deal and the food is tasty as well. In the evenings it is also a great place to relax with a glass or two of wine and light snacks.

A local bar with a relaxed feel in dowtown FWB. Marisa and Nick would come here occasionally to play shuffleboard and have a couple beers on a Friday or Saturday night.

This was Marisa and Nick's go-to breakfast joint (other than Waffle House), whether it was at the end of a night out or on a quiet weekend morning. Their favorite dishes are the bananas foster french toast and Asiago's big breakfast bowl.

Charming, chic space to hangout and relax with a drink on the sound! Has plenty of comfortable outdoor seating and tasty food and drinks. Nick and Marisa came here occasionally with friends, as it was right across the street from where they lived. Max has even been here!

While there are many mini golf options in the area, this one has a special place in Nick and Marisa's hearts. Just a short walk from where they lived on Okaloosa Island, one of their early dates took place here. After this date, mini golf became one of their favorite dates to go on and their goal was to hit all the mini golf courses in Destin/FWB.

Nick and Marisa ended up hitting three others before leaving the area and enjoyed them all!

This is Nick and Marisa's favorite local brewery (Nick worked with the owner's daughter) that makes one of Marisa's favorite beers, Dank Side of the Moon (IPA). Even Nick is very fond of this beer and he doesn't usually drink IPAs! Stop by and give it a try!

If you haven't gone to Crab Island, you haven't fully experienced Destin! Crab Island is a giant sandbar on the edge of the bay. During the summer hundreds of people park their boats in it's waist deep, crystal clear water for a day of fun and sun. There are even food and drink vendors floating in the center! Marisa and Nick frequented Crab Island on Memorial Day and Fourth of July. If you or one of your party is active duty military, you can rent a boat or jet skis from Eglin AFB Outdoor Rec at a great rate!

McGuire's is a local favorite and a must see! They have a large selection of food and novelty drinks with a 'Turn of the Century New York Irish Saloon' feel.

From their own brewery and wine cellar, to pizza and sushi (that is quite good), McGuire's has it all.

Dollar bills cover the ceilings and walls from past customers. Leave your mark with one too (maybe give the wedding a mention)!

Come for a meal in the pub or head up to the deck for nightlife filled with live music and a great view of the Destin Harbor!

This is one of Nick and Marisa's favorite restaurants in Destin. They've been on multiple dates here and it’s right on the harbor. It’s got a more relaxed and causal atmosphere, but the food is excellent and what you would expect from an upscale restaurant. Even if you don’t like seafood, there are plenty of delicious options for everyone! Nick loves the filet and Marisa loves the gulf snapper.

This bar was always Nick and Marisa's first stop on a night out in Destin! They frequented the shuffleboard table and made some great memories with friends here.

Nick and Marisa love Craft Bar for its draft beer selection, craft drinks, and delicious burgers! There are multiple locations, but they prefer the Destin location.

While the public beach accesses throughout Destin and FWB are great, Henderson Beach State Park is as pristine as emerald coast beaches get. Nick and Marisa actually had one of their first dates here (they both didn't know it was a date yet)!

If you are looking for an upscale restaurant, this is Nick and Marisa's recommendation. They went here two years in a row for Valentine's Day and it was delicious both times! Be sure to try the blackened brie for an appetizer and the filet mignon for an entree. It is recommended to call ahead for a reservation.
