Sister hotel visits!
Moon Palace has sister hotels all over Cancun! You can visit these for free using their transportation!
They usually leave at 9:30-10am from the hotel you're at and take you back to your hotel at 5pm.
Beach Palace - small but amazing beach
Sun Palace - Adults only
Playcar Palace - Fun to go if you want to get outside of the hotel life and shop a bit in Mexico!
Ask your travel agents when booking all your other outings, spa, or golf!
Favorite Restaurants:
Most attire for these is business casual. Men this means long pants, shirts with sleeves, and closed shoes. They aren't too strict on the dress code but some places will ask you to change if they are fancier.
Momo Teppeanyaki (Sunrise) - Reservation helps there is a long line. Japanese Steak house vibes.
Arrecifes (Nizuc) - Reservation recommended. Brazilian Steak house.
Trattoria (Golf course) - Reservation recommended. Fancier Italian.
Riviera Maya (Golf course) - Recommend for breakfast!!
Cusco (The Grand) - Reservation Recommended. Peruvian cuisine
Jade (The Grand) - Reservation Recommended. Sushi and other oriental contemporary cuisine.
JC Steakhouse (The Grand) - Reservation recommended.
Le Chateau (The Grand) - Reservation Required. French cuisine. Fancy attire.
Tavola (The Grand) - Reservation Recommended. Italian - the couples favorite at the resort.
The Grill (The Grand) - Reservation Required. One of the top restaurants at the hotel.
Bars to check out:
The Swing Bar (Sunrise)- Open all day long, located out by the pools!
Sky Bar (Sunrise): Open daily at 5pm - 12:30am. Have to have certain wrist bands to enter. Usually live music behind the bar.
The Pub (Nizuc): Charming England theme with live music. 9pm-1am.
The Speak Easy (The Grand): Basement of The Grand, the best cocktails, live music. Opens around supper time.
Night Clubs:
Noir (Sunrise): Tuesday, Thursday, & Saturdays. 18 years and older. Opens at 10:30pm to 3am, or 5am depending on occupancy.
Unique Night Club (The Grand): Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays. Opens at 10:30pm to 3am. If you aren't staying at The Grand you can still go, you just need to obtain your "disco pass" at the front desk in the lobby. There should be no charge for this.
Golf at Moon:
Get Tee-times ASAP, they fill fast and afternoons are hot out there.
A three 9-hole Jack Nicklaus signature course.
Lakes, Jungle, and Dunes.
Spa:
There are places to get manicures and pedicures at every hotel lobby.
If you want massages, facials, and more of the spa experience there are two main spas. One at The Grand and one at the Golf Course.
Book these ASAP for better times and availability!
You can use resort credits for these services with a small tax fee at the end of your trip.
Favorites - Hot Stones massage, Holistic Massage, Citrus Massage, Vitamin C Facial, Refreshing Facial, and Ceutical (how they spell it) Facial for sensitive skin.
You can show up an hour before to do the the sauna, steam room, cold room, and therapeutic showers before your spa appointment. Swimsuits required.
Pools:
Nizuc & Sunrise have lots of pools that connect that anyone can be at however, these pools are not heated. They have swim up bars and entertainment pools too. Water aerobics and volleyball are some of the fun activities.
The Grand has a bunch of different pools that aren't connected, but most are heated. The adults only is the couples favorite -- called Unique Day Club.
