Our Wedding

Our story began much like many millennials, swiping on Hinge. Once we matched, we quickly realized we both grew up and lived very close to each other in Northern Virginia. It just took both of us moving to Florida without knowing anyone to meet and fall in love. Shortly after talking, Chris planned our first date on April 23, 2023, for brunch at StillWater Tavern. If you ask Chris about the first date, he will quickly tell you that Maggie was late. If you ask Maggie about the first date, she will tell you that she texted Chris beforehand to say she would be late because of Sophie. But if you ask both of us, we would both say it was a blast of a first date that turned into hanging out all day. Not long after, Chris asked Maggie to be his girlfriend at Green Bench Brewery and our story continued to grow from there.

On November 27, 2024, Chris surprised Maggie by getting down on one knee and proposing with candles lit up that spelled out “Marry Me?”. It was a quick YES from Maggie and a total surprise. Chris said he wouldn’t propose in-front of people and turns out that was to throw off Maggie and he proposed in Maggie’s parents backyard in-front of Maggie’s family who was in town for Thanksgiving.

First comes love, then comes…well we did it a little out of order. On May 1, 2025, we not only grew as a couple but we grew into a family and became parents to the sweetest little boy, Carson Rea! Now we are beyond ready to celebrate our love with all of our friends and family and grow as husband and wife.

Hotel Room Block

Resort Fee of $40 per room, must be booked by August 18, 2026. Resort Fee covers the following: • Free champagne on Friday and Saturday from 3:00-5:00pm located in the lobby • Two complimentary specialty cocktails per stay at either the Veranda or Pauls Landing (both located at the Vinoy) • Daily enhanced high-speed internet access • Access to Wellness Classes, one hour, 2 persons per day • Access to Tennis Courts, including rackets and balls per day, 90 minutes, 2 persons per day • E-Bike rentals, (2) one-hour rentals per day, based on availability • Access to two (2) St. Petersburg History Museum Tickets per stay

Weekend Transportation 

Transportation will be provided throughout Friday night’s festivities. For those attending the Rehearsal Dinner, transportation will depart from The Vinoy at 4:45 PM following the ceremony rehearsal and will take guests directly to The Urban StillHouse. For the Welcome Party, two Star Trolleys will transport guests between The Vinoy and The Urban StillHouse beginning at 6:30 PM and continuing throughout the evening until the conclusion of the event. All transportation will pick up and drop off guests at the Palm Court Ballroom Porte Cochère, located at the rear of The Vinoy off 7th Avenue NE.

While our wedding will be limited to the children participating in the wedding and those of our wedding party, we know some guests may be traveling with little ones. If you need childcare during the wedding weekend, we highly recommend Maisy Ru &amp; Co., who can provide care right at your hotel so you can enjoy the festivities worry-free. We’ll be using them ourselves, as Carson will be spending time with their team throughout the weekend when he’s not participating in wedding activities. We feel very comfortable trusting them with our little guy and are happy to share this resource with our family and friends.

Green Bench Brewing

If you want a fun tropical cocktail, beer or soda or a bite to eat with a view of the water and downtown St. Petersburg, this is the place to go! It is located at the end of the pier. The pier has a free continuous running shuttle from each end so if you need a ride, hop on and check out Pier Teaki! Fun fact: after our first date at StillWater Tavern, we went here to continue the fun and have some drinks. Friday: 11:00 AM - 12:00 AM Saturday and Sunday: 10:00 AM - 12:00 AM

If you’re looking to stay downtown and have food with a water view, this is the place! Located at the beginning of the pier. Doc Fords is a popular place in St. Pete so there maybe a wait. But they have great food and drinks. Friday, Saturday and Sunday: 11:00 AM - 10:00 PM

If you’re looking for beer or cocktails and great BBQ, this is the place to go. It is a veteran owned and supported brewery and located right next door to the Welcome Party location. Friday: 1:00 PM - 11:00 PM Saturday: 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM Sunday: 11:00 AM - 9:00 PM
