Matt and Rebecca meet for the first time, on the corner of 81st and Columbus Avenue in NYC. They eat sushi outside in the cold and take a walk in Central Park. They talk for hours.

Rebecca meets Matt's mother for the first time at Thanksgiving. Not knowing what to bring, Rebecca brings everything - wine, flowers and her now much beloved pumpkin pie.

Matt teaches Rebecca to ski, their relationship survives and Matt learns that there really is no limit to the number of swear words in the Glaswegian vocabulary.

Rebecca and Matt move in together to their first apartment in Sunnyside, Queens. They love making the apartment their home, painting walls (and some floors), buying art and hosting parties.

Matt travels to Scotland to meet Rebecca's family in person for the first time. He is immediately adored by everyone, especially by Rebecca's auntie's upstairs neighbors whose toilet he fixed.

Things were getting a little bit too quiet around the Bacchi-McGilveray residence, and so Nico was brought in to cause chaos and hijinks. Despite having not met Nico prior to adopting him from South Korea, Nico is somehow exactly like his parents - right down to having the same hair color as Matt.

Having outgrown Queens, the couple move to sunny New Rochelle - the jewel of the Long Island sound. While the apartment is smaller, the view more than makes up for it!

The first of many trips to Paris - the lure of breakfasts at Hollybelly, strolls round the Louvre and Rebecca doing all the talking have kept them coming back year after year.

Matt and Rebecca run their first half marathon together. Rebecca's parents were excellent cheerleaders, even in the rain and the cold!

Through some minor miracle of engineering, Matt and Rebecca manage to host 14 Bacchis in their tiny apartment for a Christmas dinner.

Matt and Rebecca get engaged on the banks of Loch Lomond. Both of them cry and Rebecca immediately starts wedding planning.
