The Columbia River Gorge is renowned for its breathtaking waterfalls, making it a must-visit destination. Start your day with a quick stop at Multnomah Falls, where you can take in the iconic view and explore the visitor center. Then, continue your adventure by visiting a few more stunning waterfalls along the Historic Columbia River Highway. A few options include Bridal Veil Falls, Wahclella Falls, Horsetail & Ponytail Falls, Latourell Falls, Dry Creek Falls, and many more!

If you're up for an adventure, we highly recommend whitewater rafting on the White Salmon River! We are trying it ourselves this summer. It's located just across the Columbia River in Washington, about 20 minutes from Hood River. The glacier-fed river offers incredible scenery and exciting rapids. Several local outfitters offer half-day and full-day guided trips. Tip: book in advance, especially on weekends!
