We'll of course keep you well fed and watered on the wedding day and for those staying with us at The Grand the kitchen/restaurant will be in full operation as normal over the weekend for breakfast, meals, lunches and snacks.

Down the hotel steps and right on the beach is The Cabin - a great beachfront cafe perfect for a morning coffee by the sea or snacks, lunches and a cold beer or wine.

Below is our selection of suggestions for the rest of your trip venturing into Swanage or the surrounding areas. Swanage is a popular spot in the summer time so if really set on a place reservations in advance are recommended.

Dinner:

Chilled Red

Tawny’s wine bar

The Narrows

The Salt Pig

Pier Head

The Pig on the Beach (10 min drive)

Lunch:

Fish Plaice (walk-up fish & chips)

Roof Terrace (seafood on the water)

Gee Whites (baguettes and paninis by the sea)

Burnt Toast (brunch/breakfast)

The Salt Pig (hearty meat pies, pastries and more)

Drinks:

The Cellar Bar (fun spot right by the water and a great upstairs Show Bar with views)

The Snack Bar (small but mighty cocktail bar where Rick collected glasses many many years ago. Say hey to Angelo who owns it. Strong cocktails Rick and Meg have never left sober)

FONC lounge (great drinks lounge with shuffleboard and games)

The Fox, The Castle, The Greyhound (all based in Corfe)

The Square and Compass (13 min drive/taxi) (an ale house since 1776 and nestled in the hills overlooking the sea that used to serve the smugglers of the area and more. Cider that'll knock your socks off (great pies and pasties but no meals)

Nibbles/misc:

Chococo - independent chocolate shop regarded one of the best in U.K.

Greggs - fine artisanal British cuisine. Just kidding. Cheap and cheerful pastries and slices (the vegan sausage roll is a hit)
