Routes from London – Travel time to Swanage is approximately 2 hours 40 minutes:

Take the M25 to Junction 12 take the M3 towards Southampton, M27 West towards Bournemouth, Motorway becomes A31, take A350, A35 and A351 signposted towards Swanage.

From Gatwick Airport (numerous Car Hire Options are available at the Airport):

Routes from Gatwick Airport – Travel time to Swanage is approximately 3 hours 11 minutes:

Take the M23 North towards London - at junction 8, take the M25 exit to M4/M1/Heathrow Airport/Watford take the M25 to Junction 12 take the M3 towards Southampton, M27 West towards Bournemouth, Motorway becomes A31, take A350, A35 and A351 signposted towards Swanage.

Some parking is available at the hotel for guests staying at The Grand, with street parking and the North Beach Car Park just four minutes walk to the hotel.

Train / Bus Travel from London Heathrow to Swanage:

Take the Underground to Waterloo Station.

Trains run to Weymouth every hour, stopping at Bournemouth or Wareham. Getting off at Bournemouth you would take the Number 50 Bus direct to Swanage – get off at the Crow’s Nest Pub Bus Stop and the Grand Hotel is a 2-minute walk. If leaving the train at Wareham the Number 40 Bus stops at the station and will take you to Swanage Bus Station – The Grand Hotel is a 15-minute walk or Taxis are available at the Station.
