**SHUTTLE/TRANSPORTATION UPDATE**

There will be a shuttle from (prior to the wedding) and to (after the wedding) the Hampton Inn, if that makes your travels any more convenient. Shuttle leaves the hotel at 4:45 p.m.

Thompson Washington D.C., by Hyatt

221 Tingey St SE, Washington, DC 20003, USA
(202) 916-5200
Check-In: Thursday, March 13, 2025 | Check-Out: Sunday, March 16, 2025

We have 10 rooms in our block at the Thompson. It's a nice hotel and the closest to the venue. We expect these to go quickly, so book if you see an opening. Contact Meg and Igor for details.

The second hotel at which we were able to get a block, this one a bit bigger (20 rooms). Also very close/walkable to the venue. Also probably going to book quickly, so do move fast. Let us know if you have any questions or want additional details!

Non-hotel accommodations:

Airbnb is a great option in D.C.! There are lots of places to book all around D.C. as well as in Northern Virginia and nearby parts of Maryland; we recommend staying within D.C. or looking at Northern Virginia just because that's going to be your best bet for transportation (however, if you are especially interested in Maryland, we would be happy to offer recommendations—as former NE Washingtonians/big fans of Hyattvsille).

That said, the best neighborhoods to stay in (in our opinion):

—Navy Yard: proximity.

—Capitol Hill: proximity, history, food, vibes.

—Shaw: fun, central, historic, food, relatively convenient to venue. (Similar, nearby neighborhoods: Bloomingdale, Truxton Circle.)

—Dupont Circle: pretty central, very fun, very 'classic D.C.', close to a lot of embassies, very pretty area. (Similar nearby: Foggy Bottom, Georgetown.)

—Columbia Heights/Petworth: a bit further out, but still convenient enough to get to Navy Yard (including via Metro). We used to live here, and loved it, but it's not for everyone.

If you have any questions about what's going to be convenient, safe, fun, fit your needs and vibes, etc.—just let us know!

Airport Stuff

The best way to get to D.C.:

We really, really encourage you to fly into National (DCA). Dulles is very far, though on Metro and thus relatively inexpensive to access from D.C./the venue. BWI is also far, and not on Metro, though accessible via two trains (MARC and Amtrak; MARC is cheaper). National/DCA is awesome because it's either (1) a pretty affordable, 20-minute cab/Uber to the venue or (2) a two-train Metro ride to—literally—steps from the venue (airport to L'Enfant Plaza, L'Enfant to Navy Yard). We like National. Try to fly into National.
