Grillfire is one of our all-time favorite restaurants! Our first apartment together was directly across the street. Even though we’ve since moved, when we don’t know where to go for date night this is always where we end up! If you’re up for a drive or are headed towards the airport, we cannot recommend it enough. The upscale American-themed fare is consistently delicious. Our must-try here is the Chili-Pop Shrimp appetizer!

Papi’s is the Mexican restaurant where Megan has worked for going on 6 years. While there is another location in Fells Point, the location in Hampden is her home base. You can’t beat freshly made chips and salsa—all made in-house on a daily basis! We recommend the Birria Tacos, the Enchiladas (Megan’s go-to order is adobo short rib with mole poblano), and the Fajitas!

Wicked Sisters is where Adam and Megan played weekly trivia with Megan’s dad, Tom, and Adam’s cousins, Justin and David! It is directly across the street from Papi’s (and owned by the same owners as well!). The food is delicious and our must-try here are the wings! All of the flavors are delicious, but we love to try the rotating “sauce of the week”—our trivia name (Sauce of the Week) is even inspired by it! Be sure to get the ranch dressing with your wings—it’s made from scratch with a secret recipe. We are *obsessed* with it—so much so that the servers working trivia nights know to have extra ranch waiting for us at the table! Not into wings? Another favorite of Megan’s is the Salmon BLT! Extra ranch still applies though (for your fries)!!

A short drive up the road from Papi’s and Wicked Sisters, Jupiter’s is where Megan met Sophie (Maid of Honor) and Bella (Bridesmaid) while they all worked there together many years ago. The ice cream is made by a local company called Taharka Brothers (a completely employee-owned company!). You *have* to try the Honey Graham!!! It will change your life! Another favorite of Megan’s is the Coffee and Cookies (coffee ice cream with oreo chunks). If you have one flavor that you always stick to, get it! We guarantee it will be delicious, creamy, and if it has chunks of something (think cookie dough), there will be LOTS of them—no skimping here!! With the way Taharka makes their ice cream, we now can’t eat any other brand—it’s just THAT good!

A block up the road from Jupiter’s, The Corner Pantry is a favorite spot of Megan’s family! Serving breakfast and lunch fare, TCP prepares all of its food with locally-sourced ingredients. Their menu changes based on the seasons and what ingredients are available, but some favorites include their summertime BLT and their Coronation Chicken Salad Sandwich! Their homemade pastries and desserts are always a hit as well—we have never once had one that we didn’t immediately love! Megan’s favorite cookie is the Peanut Butter Sandwich Cookie (bonus, it’s gluten-free!), and Tom’s is the classic Chocolate Chip Cookie. They also have a full service coffee bar for any caffeinated beverage your heart desires!

Please note: TCP is a smaller spaced cafe with limited seating. It cannot accommodate larger parties for sit-down meals. However, they offer online ordering for you to pick up your meal and enjoy back at the hotel (a short 5 minute drive away) or while walking around and exploring Baltimore with your larger group!
