If you plan to fly to Chicago and travel to south bend from there, you can take the South Shore train line from Millenium station to the SB airport. Note, you will need to take a cab or uber to Millenium station from either Midway or O'Hare. Car rentals are also readily available and is about an hour and half drive from either airport. If feasible, this would be our recommendation!
