WHAT'S THE ATTIRE FOR THE WEDDING?
We are calling the suggested attire, "Champlain Cocktail." Though we are flexible with the attire, we do require that you wear something that feels comfortable enough to celebrate and dance with us all evening long. A button down shirt or a sports jacket is fine with us, as well as any dress or jumpsuit that feels right! The wedding is outside in late September in Vermont, so it is highly advised you bring an extra layer for the chilly evening. Additionally for those considering heels, we suggest wearing a chunky heel instead of a stiletto as the venue is situated partly on the grass.
HOW WILL I GET TO AND FROM THE WEDDING VENUE?
Transportation will be provided in the form of buses for anyone who is coming from the Burlington area. Folks will meet the bus in the Double Tree hotel back parking lot in South Burlington, or the front parking lot of the Hilton in downtown Burlington. See the 'Shuttle' section under the 'Home' tab for a detailed schedule.
IS THERE PARKING AT THE FERRY WATCH INN?
Yes! Plenty of parking on-site at the wedding if you would like to drive yourself! Please make smart choices and take the bus home or get a ride if you have had too much to drink.
Can I bring my children?
We hope you will understand our decision to make the wedding child-free. While we love your kiddos, we are encouraging our friends and family members with children to take the opportunity to take a night off, let your hair down, and celebrate in style!
Wow! The Save the Date and Invitations are beautiful, who created them?
Right?! We think so too- they are a labor of love and we are grateful for friends with creative eyes and technical expertise. Our friend, Anna, painted the Save the Dates with inspiration from one of our favorite Burlington artists, Katharine Monstream. Anna also helped us with the save the date design. Thank you, Anna!
Our endlessly generous and gifted friend, Brooke, designed the invitation and details cards that you all received. Growing up in Vermont, Brooke understood our vision and we are so grateful for her time and prowess. Thank you, Brooke!
