A short walk in the riparian zone of the Mad River along with access to the Lareau Swimming Hole
0.5 miles one way. From the American Flat Bread Trailhead crossing under the VT-100 bridge, the trail enters the swimming and fishing area and continues between the river and the highway through a beautiful floodplain forest
A moderate 3.9 mile hike with some rocks, roots, bridge crossing, and some steep areas.
Primary access point is at McCollough Barn. Parking lot on the left, across from the Fayston Elementary School. Look for a bridge and ramps climbing the bank to access the trail.
There is also parking at the Tucker Hill Inn and the Swanson Inn
A popular natural swimming hole on the Mad River, known for its clear, turquoise water, deep pools and rock formations, making it a scenic spot for swimming, cliff jumping, and relaxing.
