Q + A

How do I RSVP?

You should RSVP by April 27, 2024. This ensures we know our final numbers to bring to our caterer. When you RSVP go to the "RSVP" tab on our website. Proceed with the following steps. (1) Type your name into the search bar; (2) Click the "Accept" or "Decline" button for yourself and each guest in your party/family (if any), *You will know if you have a guest because it will say John Doe's Guest; you can click on the underlined guest name to change it so we know who you are bringing with you* then click "Continue"; (3) Please indicate if you have any dietary restrictions/allergies, then click "continue"; (5) Enter either your phone number or email so that you receive a confirmation that your RSVP was sent! (6) Click "Send RSVP"! Please remember, if you have a guest/additional people in your party, to RSVP for them! *If you did not receive a Guest invite you are not permitted to bring a plus one, without first talking to the bride and groom!*

What is the guest attire?

Casual Easter Church attire for men and women. We request that guests refrain from wearing all-black, and that you embrace the fun colors and patterns of the spring! For women short, knee-length or maxi dresses are ok, as well as a chic blouse and skirt pairing. For men, shor or long sleeve collared shirt and khakis with dress shoes will be best. If you have questions please text the bride or groom.

Is it ok to wear white or black as a guest?

We ask that our guests do not wear white. We would love to see spring colors and patterns over black. But in the end, it is your comfort that matters.

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Our ceremony is PHONE FREE! We want you to be completely present during our ceremony. Please leave everything up to our very trusted photographer.

Are kids allowed?

Due to limited seating in the chapel, we ask that kids under the age of 15 do not attend the ceremony. But, we would love to celebrate with them at the reception!

Is there parking available at the venue?

There are free parking lots at both of our venue sites. For the ceremony: there is a parking lot in front of and behind the church. There is also a drop-off loop if you are worried about walking. For the reception, there is parking in the streets surrounding the site. It is also a two-block walk from the ceremony if you want to walk.

What time does the ceremony start?

Our ceremony will start at promptly 2:00 pm Central Time. We ask that all guests plan accordingly to be there 5 - 10 minutes early.

What is the weather back-up plan?

Because both our ceremony and reception are held indoors we do not have a back-up plan. Watch the weather closer to the date and bring an umbrella or rain jacket if needed.

Are there any religious customs I should be aware of?

We will be getting married in a church using a traditional wedding ceremony outline. We will be adding a time of worship, a time for family and friends to come pray over us, and a time to take communion during our ceremony.

Is there a specific order of events at the reception?

Our reception will be from 3:30 pm until 6:30 pm. There will be a custom coffee bar, sodas, and hors d'oeuvres. We will do the traditional bride and groom first dance, as well as the bride and father, and groom and mom dance. We will also be doing a cake cutting towards the end. At the end, we will have a fun exit so if you can stay until 6:30 we would love for you to send us off! There will be music so you are welcome to dance and celebrate! We are looking forward to spending time with all of the people close to us as we begin our lives together!

Will their be alcohol at the venue?

Preston and I have chosen to have a dry wedding. We ask that you respect our decision to be fully present at our wedding and with our families. The only alcohol allowed has to come through our reception venue and none can be brought to the church, so please do not bring your own. We will have plenty of other amazing drink options including a custom coffee bar run by one of our amazing friends. If you would like to drink after the reception go and visit any of the amazing bars around Auburn and Opelika :)
