Where is everything taking place?

The rehearsal dinner, wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, and after party will all be taking place at the same location, our hotel, The Grand Fiesta Americana Coral Beach in Cancun Mexico. It will all be on location and no travel from the hotel will be necessary.

Is there a dress code for the wedding?

We are politely requesting that all guests wear shades of pink or red to our wedding to differentiate from other hotel guests. Ladies, please wear a dress of some sort. Guys, please wear slacks and a button down (long sleeve or short sleeve, even a funky print if you’d like!) at the least. Sandals are okay! Take into consideration that Cancun weather is warm, while also remembering that this is our wedding!

How do we book our trip?

We have decided to use a Destination Wedding Travel Agent to help EVERYONE navigate the flights and hotel rooms. Please see the travel tab on here for more information. We 100% recommend using this free service.

What dates should we travel?

This is totally up to you! Please feel free to turn this trip into your vacation! We chose the date we did knowing that it was Memorial Day Weekend, allowing for an extra day of fun for those who can only come for the weekend! Our recommendation for travel dates is Wednesday, May 21, 2025 through Monday, May 26, 2025. But again, please stay as long (or as short) as you’d like!

I’m in (or with someone in) the wedding party, when do we have to be there?

We are asking that everyone in our bridal party arrives on or before Wednesday, May 21, 2025. Airline delays and other inconsistencies happen and we just want to be assured that you will be there for the rehearsal dinner on 5/22.

When do we need to book by?

Please ask our travel agent via the travel tab!

Are children invited?

Yes, of course! Our wedding wouldn’t be our wedding without our two boys in attendance! Because of that, we chose a resort that is extremely accommodating for children and very, very kid friendly. The resort offers a “Kidz Club,” and offers babysitting services as well. It is 100% up to you if you want to bring your child/children or not.

Do we bring a wedding gift?

While we appreciate the thought, please, no gifts! It’s cliche, but in this case, your presence is the present! We are just so thankful that you decided to travel for our wedding, that is more than enough! If you still should decide to give a gift, please consider a cash contribution to help us provide the best life possible for our children.

What exactly does the overall cost get us?

We picked this specific resort for a big reason - it’s all-inclusive! That means that not only are all of your breakfasts, lunches, dinners (the restaurants are all amazing!), snacks, and room service orders included in the price, but so is every single drink and shot that you have! We have been to the resort and can truthfully say that the food is delicious and that the drinks are all good - and can be as strong as you want them! (and it’s not bottom shelf liquor or off brand beers either) Overall, the cost is for your international flights, your hotel room each night, and your food and drink. If you do the math, you’re getting more than you’re paying for!

Does that mean everything is included then?

Simply put, yes! However, tips are not included. We do recommend bringing small cash bills for tips. Our advice is to give your poolside waitress a $5 or a $10 at the beginning of the day, and from that they will make sure you have a drink in your hand all day long.

Are reservations required for anything at the resort?

Breakfasts and lunches are buffets, walk ups (or swim ups!) to restaurants, or room service orders. There is also a cafe that offers coffee, gelato, sandwiches, and pastries. Dinners at the restaurants do have reservation requirements. These reservations are made when you check in at the hotel. The information about the multiple restaurants on property and their offerings can be found on the resort’s website: https://www.grandfiestamericana.com/en/hotels-resorts/grand-fiesta-americana-coral-beach-cancun-all-inclusive-spa-resort/dining

I’m not married, do I get a plus one?

We understand that you likely don’t want to travel internationally alone, so for that reason, everyone who isn’t already a couple is encouraged to bring a plus one if you’d like to! Please just let us know that person’s full name so we can make arrangements for seating at the wedding!

Is there anywhere to buy toiletries / items I don’t want to pack?

There is a gift shop located right in the hotel if you’d like to buy toiletries (shampoo, soap, sunscreen, etc), but that can be a bit pricey. Directly across the street is a grocery store / sundry that sells all of those items for a much better price! You can find souvenirs and such here as well.

Are there dress codes at the hotel?

Only for restaurants! Casual, not too fancy, no tank tops for men, no flip flops or water shoes. Think tropical button downs or polos with shorts that aren’t basketball shorts for guys, and anything but denim for girls! Dresses, rompers, linen shorts, anything but beach coverups or denim!

Does the hotel have a Facebook group?

Here is a “fan group” for the hotel. Every question you can possibly think of has likely been asked in this group, and then some! https://facebook.com/groups/coralbeachcancun/

Can we see bar / restaurant menus?

Absolutely! Check the hotel food menus tab on this website. Remember, everything is included!

Will my phone work?

For some carriers, yes! For others, international fees may apply. There is free WiFi at the hotel that you can link your phone to for internet services and social media apps. Please post your pictures for everyone to see!

Any other tips?

If you have a Firestick or an Apple TV or anything like that, bring it! The hotel does have multiple channels, but if you don’t understand Spanish, there likely won’t be many options.

What type of events / entertainment does the hotel offer?

Check out this link for what’s happening at the hotel! Also, daily schedules are given with room service breakfast orders or at the breakfast buffet each day. Make sure to ask for one if it isn’t immediately offered, you definitely want to catch a few shows (at night at 9pm!) and do some of the (free!) tequila tastings or margarita making classes! And of course, the nightclub opens at 11pm.
