The hotel offers jet skis, snorkeling, and paddle boarding, and there are a bunch of awesome local shops for souvenirs all within a 5 minute walk. If you are going to leave the hotel to do one excursion / adventure, we highly recommend going to see an ancient Mayan pyramid! We did a Chichen Itza / Cenote tour a few years ago, and it was so amazing to see one of the wonders of the world in person!
