As Bifanas do Alfonso-You must try a traditional Portuguese pork sandwich while In Lisbon. These are known as bifanas. This joint is located on the edge of Alfama and serves up a mean bifana, get there before noon or else you may have to wait in a bit of a line.

Ginjinha da Se-An unassuming hole in the wall, with a fun vibe and great people watching. Good for a late night ginja (local cherry liquor) cocktail; not fancy, just authentic.

York Burger-If your looking for a late night spot in Alfama, then this is the spot (open until 4am some nights). They have cold drinks and people spill out onto the streets.
