Explore one of the most typical neighborhoods in Lisbon. Full of Portuguese soul! The best way is to wander the back curvy and steep streets of Alfama, try some Ginja on the way and get lost!
Fado Show-Alfama is the house of Fado, there is the Museum of Fado that you can visit or go to a Fado night show. You will find many Fado houses, food is served while you can listen to a true Fado performer singing right from the bottom of his or her soul. This is a powerful experience that you should not miss.
Petiscos at Ourives Petisqueira- Enjoy a delicious cocktail and a tapas style dinner in this small hole in the wall. This is a typical Portuguese small plates restaurant in the heart of Alfama.
Memmo Alfama-Even if you are not staying at the Memmo Alfama Hotel, we recommend you stop by for afternoon/sunset drinks at the outdoor bar/pool area for a great view and vibe!
Crafty Corner and Outro Lado-Two great spots to check out Lisbon’s craft beer scene. We love these back streets of Alfama. Come for the beer and vibe, but there’s much more to explore around these back windy streets.
As Bifanas do Alfonso-You must try a traditional Portuguese pork sandwich while In Lisbon. These are known as bifanas. This joint is located on the edge of Alfama and serves up a mean bifana, get there before noon or else you may have to wait in a bit of a line.
Ginjinha da Se-An unassuming hole in the wall, with a fun vibe and great people watching. Good for a late night ginja (local cherry liquor) cocktail; not fancy, just authentic.
York Burger-If your looking for a late night spot in Alfama, then this is the spot (open until 4am some nights). They have cold drinks and people spill out onto the streets.
Principe Real is the hip neighborhood in Lisbon. A great amount of cool stores for shopping and many, many options of restaurants where you can find all sorts of food. You will find modern and interesting hipster-like restaurants and bars are in this neighborhood.
We suggest that you start the night having a great dinner in Principe Real and then walk down to Bairro Alto for a drink, and if you are really looking for a party then end the night at Cais do Sodré in one of the clubs. This would be a perfect and typical night out for a Lisboeta!

If you want to experience the nightlife in Lisbon there are endless options, but Bairro Alto and Cais do Sodré are certainly some of the most fun ones. Here, you will experience how locals have fun at night. On the streets, drinking some "caipirinhas" or beer, hopping from one bar to another. If you're looking for clubs to go dancing check out "Pink Street" in Cais do Sodré.
A Tabacaria-A tiny cocktail bar set in an old tabacco shop. Don't bother asking for the menu, the bartenders ARE the menu. Just tell them what you're craving and they wont disappoint. One of our favorite spots!

Boteco da Dri-This one is for our carioca (Brazilian) friends, but can be enjoyed by all! A slice of Rio tucked into the riverfront in Lisbon. You can sit out here enjoying an authentic caipirihhna, snacking on pastels and listening to samba music! Casual spot with a real VIBE!
Chiado is the downtown hub. This is where culture, history and leisure come together. It is the best place to have some fun shopping, as you can find an array of stores.

Cerâmicas an Linha and A Vida Portuguesa-Two great shops right near each other. Perfect spot to pick up gorgeously crafted Portuguese items. The ceramics are beautiful and you can find all off the quality Portuguese delicacies to bring home here!
These two spots have some of the best views over the city. Lisbon is called "The City of the Seven Hills" as it is definitely not flat! But is precisely this feature that allows the city to have so many good lookouts or "Miradouros" in Portuguese.
One of these gorgeous lookouts is Castelo de São Jorge-Lisbon's one and only castle in the center of Alfama.
Miradouro da Graça is also one of the most gorgeous viewpoints in the city. Prepare to "climb some hills," (or take a tuk tuk) but we promise that the view at the end of your journey will be worth it!
