We met in the summer of 2019 in Raleigh when we were 18 & 19. We talked for a while and finally started officially dating in January of 2020! COVID happened shortly after, causing us to stay in the barracks together before he was deployed. Jason deployed in May of 2020 and we talked every single day of the 9 months he was gone. Micah painted and sent him deployment boxes every two months as well and through all of this, we became incredibly close! He came home in February of 2021 and we moved in together in June of 2021 in Fayetteville, NC. Jason proposed in August of 2021 and Micah said YES! but we had to wait a bit. Jason got out of the Army and we moved to Charlotte shortly after and have been building our life together ever since. We both attended college in Charlotte and are excited to take the next steps in our life: marriage, PhD, and police! There have been a few bumps in the road as far as wedding planning goes, but we are over the moon to finally get married!!!
