Our Wedding

We met in the summer of 2019 in Raleigh when we were 18 &amp; 19. We talked for a while and finally started officially dating in January of 2020! COVID happened shortly after, causing us to stay in the barracks together before he was deployed. Jason deployed in May of 2020 and we talked every single day of the 9 months he was gone. Micah painted and sent him deployment boxes every two months as well and through all of this, we became incredibly close! He came home in February of 2021 and we moved in together in June of 2021 in Fayetteville, NC. Jason proposed in August of 2021 and Micah said YES! but we had to wait a bit. Jason got out of the Army and we moved to Charlotte shortly after and have been building our life together ever since. We both attended college in Charlotte and are excited to take the next steps in our life: marriage, PhD, and police! There have been a few bumps in the road as far as wedding planning goes, but we are over the moon to finally get married!!!

This is Jaylin and she is a military brat from all around the world, but is currently living in VA working on helicopters and in the US Army reserves! Jaylin and I have been inseparable since we were 12 years old, even after both being in military families and moving all around the country. We still flew, drove, and FaceTimed frequently just to see each other. We now classify as sisters and I would not be here without her!

Jaylin Corbett

This is Emmerson and she from Waxhaw, NC, currently studying as a graduate student at Winthrop! Emmerson and Micah met in the beginning of college but became friends towards the end of college and have clicked ever since! They have worked together for years (even moved jobs together) and have helped each other through life changes, especially moving on to graduate school. Emmerson is the best support system Micah could ever ask for :)

Emmerson Sheppard

Francesca is from Wichita, Kansas and currently works as a barista while attending school! Francesca and Micah met freshman year of High School in Wichita, KS and instantly had the soul-sister connection. Throughout high school, they remained best friends with only one kerfuffle (we were in high school :D) and share an incredibly special relationship. She brings sunshine and laughter everywhere she goes. High school would have been unsurvivable without Francesca. 

Francesca Puetz

Abby is from Wichita, KS and works as a shift manager at her restaurant! Abby and Micah met freshman year of high school and became friends, but became inseparable towards later high school through choir. Abby and Micah hung out every single day (with Francesca too :D) and often laughed until they cried, cried and built strength, and had arguably some of the best times of our life. Abby is quite literally an angel.

Anna is from New Jersey but is living here in NC now, teaching elementary aged children! Anna and Micah met sophomore year of college and connected instantly over our shared love for music and adventure. Anna is undeniably her goofy self and brings fun to everyone around her!

Anna Sirico

Maria works with companies developing websites and is from Berryville, VA! Maria and I met our sophomore year of college at UNCC and clicked instantly. Maria has a heart of gold and infectious energy that cannot help but uplift you.

This is Bella and she is from Apex, NC and currently works as a researcher at Duke University! Bella and Micah met freshman year of college and INSTANTLY clicked. She was Micah's big in the sorority and the best big sister anyone could ask for. Even though they both transitioned out of the college and sorority, they still were best friends forever.

See picture above for our test hike at pilot mountain! There are a vast number of trails at this park! It is beautiful and peaceful and we highly recommend. We went to test it out for you all and had a blast! They have anywhere from .6-7 mile long hikes and even a shuttle that goes to the top if hiking isn't your jam.

Pilot Mountain State Park

The most iconic hike of NC in our humble opinions! Very beautiful views and such a nice getaway! Our test hike is currently being planned to give you guys more info....
