HER SIDE:

We met at a friend's Christmas party in January of 2019,

Michael made quite an entrance in a women's XXXL turtleneck Christmas sweater from Goodwill, featuring a jolly Santa.

As the night went on, Michael was determined to find a beer pong partner. He came up to me with that irresistible smile and said, "Please be my beer pong partner! I promise I'm not terrible!"

We played a few rounds, laughing at our terrible aim and celebrating our rare victories. Later, someone pointed out the mistletoe hanging above us. Our friends started chanting, "Kiss! Kiss! Kiss!"

We got caught under the mistletoe, and well, the rest is history. Anyone who knows Michael knows he's impossible not to love.

HIS SIDE:

Kels and I met the “old-fashioned” way at a Christmas party hosted by the Prossers in 2019.

As the night progressed, I was determined to get to know her better. I turned on the ultimate charm (lol) to try to convince her to play beer pong with me. Little did I know, our friends had been trying to set us up for a while!

We played a few games together, having a great time, and eventually found ourselves under the mistletoe, leading to our first kiss—heavily influenced by our friends’ peer pressure.

As the night continued, I tagged along with Kels to meet up with her roommates at a bar in the Uptown area. It turned out she was hiding a going-out outfit under her Christmas sweater, which was much more in line with the bar crowd than my turtleneck and women’s Christmas sweater. Six hours into knowing her, I realized I would never be the fashionable one in our relationship!

Since then, Kels has become my best friend. We've bought a house, adopted a dog, and created memories that will last a lifetime. I can’t wait to see what comes next!
