"Meeting at the tender dramatic era of braces, life transitions, boys and finding ourselves. Brynn and I were lucky enough to grow up through our formative years together. We were lucky enough to not have to brave it alone and managed to find safety in each other as we grew and changed. Arriving into adulthood together having felt like we went through war together we continued to be lucky enough to go through changes side by side. At times living together (and causing chaos throughout Cincinnati) at other times working together, or simply growing friend circles together. Now we enter into the stage in life of choosing life partners and watching our lives expand as we invite new wonderful people into our circle. Few are as special as Michael is, I am so excited to celebrate the welcoming of a new member to our group for life!"

"When I moved to Louisville, I was starting my senior year of high school, and I wasn’t exactly excited to be moving from Puerto Rico to Kentucky. I’ve long since realized that friendships like the one I have with Brynn wouldn’t have been possible if I had not found a home in Kentucky. I met Brynn thanks to Darryl Smith and Thomas Kalb, two of the strangest, most interesting teachers I’ve ever met. When Brynn and I started spending time together outside of school, we managed to get ourselves into a fair bit of trouble, though it went unnoticed by most of the responsible adults in our lives. I can’t decide if it was getting vomited on during our homecoming sleepover or the Halloween car chase that really cemented our friendship, but, either way, it’s been solid as a rock for over a decade now. We’ve maintained so much love for each other throughout the varied and scary phases of our lives, and I’m so happy to be a part of this joyful chapter in my wonderful friend’s life."

"Brynn and Rachel met in the fall of 2017. They shared a quirky little farmhouse on the outskirts of Asheville with a colorful cast of supportive and fun housemates. Their friendship grew over many cups of tea and delicious breakfasts in the sun, late nights dancing, punny dad jokes, and hikes in the mountains. Equal parts riotous laughter, and serious exploration through life's tricky terrain, friendship with Brynn is a true gift. "I knew about Brynn before I actually “knew” her, rumor had it that she was the other 27 year old girl working at this summer camp. Once we met it was obvious that Brynn and I were more than the “two 27 year old girls working at summer camp”, we were magic together. Shortly there after I met Michael, and I knew as far from home as I was, it was gonna be okay because I had my people. From starry night adventures to floating down rivers together, that summer I truly got to experience Brynn and Michael in their truest most silliest forms because when one works at a summer camp one is reminded what it’s like to be a kid again. As short as our time has begun together Brynn and Michael have become my family those summers at camp and as cheesy as it may sound I can’t imagine my life without those two hooligans, who inspire me endlessly and are always reminding me to have fun."

Matt met Michael in late middle school and have been fast friends ever since. Music brought them together and built the connection that they maintain to this day. Matt and Michael were involved in two different musical projects, Blueberry Wolf and The Apprehended. Blueberry Wolf was a small outfit based in Beaufort, SC that performed at various events across the city. As members of The Apprehended, Michael and Matt performed close to 500 shows together in over 20 states during the nine years the band was performing. From sleeping in a van in frozen Michigan, to throwing house shows that almost broke the floor, to performing in front of hundreds of people at major festivals, these experiences built a friendship that has lasted twenty years and will continue strong. Matt loves to see the joy that Brynn and Michael bring each other and looks forward to seeing their love for each other continue to grow and flourish.
