Our Wedding

In the spring of 2017, Michela and Greg embarked on new career paths, which unknowingly, would change their lives forever, together. A backstory: Wayfair is notorious for cultivating relationships; friendships, mentorships, and yes, even a RELATIONSHIP relationship. The term "Wayfair Wedding" is nearly ordinary, and love is certainly in the air of 4 Copley Place. Cut to day two on the job and Michela saw Greg for the first time. We could be sappy and say time slowed down for a mere minute, but in reality he was walking to the bathroom - very unromantic. She asked her desk neighbor if she knew him and she in fact did not. If you know Michela at all, hilarity ensued over the course of two weeks of trying to get Greg to notice her. Spoiler alert: all attempts were failed. Wayfair's quarterly parties are a time to let loose and the spring party was no different. At Boston's finest club Royale, the Wayfairians were taking advantage of the open bar; drinks were flowing, music was bumping, and Michela was building the (liquid) confidence to make the official move. As fate would have it, the quarterly CEO video was about dating at Wayfair - instant kismet. And finally - this brings us to the first official meeting. A handshake between co-workers Greg and Michela, which turned into a long conversation, many laughs, a few Bud Lights, more dancing, and the rest...is history.

Every Sky Will Be Blue

Together we've survived as partners, as co-workers, as roommates, and as riders of the pandemic storm. So it only felt natural in November of 2020 for Greg to pop the question, at their favorite neighborhood spot. Greg spent the week leading up to get his ducks in a row; getting the ring and worse, HIDING the ring, arranging for friends to celebrate, asking Michela's father over a beer if he could spend his life with her, and of course, getting a haircut. The engagement was sweet, thoughtful, and to the point - just like Greg. And naturally, after a bout of ugly crying, Michela said yes. We are elated to join our families and friends as we celebrate the beginning of the rest of our lives. Thank you for being here - we've waited 657 days for this, lets get ready to PARTY.

Flying In

Book your flights to land at Logan Airport in Boston, MA. The hotel blocks are a 35-40 minute drive north, dependent on the lovely Massachusetts traffic.

The Hampton Inn hotel block is great for families and those who are traveling further distances. The minimum stay is 3 nights and is reflected through the link. We have double queens and king guestrooms reserved for Thursday through Saturday night. If you have Hilton Honors rewards, they apply here. The link below is for our room block specifically with the rates reflected. The shuttle to the venue will pick up at the Hampton Inn; if you are staying at The Hotel Salem block, or any other local hotel, you will have to walk to the Hampton Inn for transportation (less than 5 minutes walking from The Hotel Salem.)

Our second hotel block is at The Hotel Salem in downtown Salem, MA- a 20 minute ride from our venue in Danvers, MA. To book with The Hotel Salem, please call the number above and ask for the Finnegan-Walsh block, and the available rates and rooms will be opened up to you. The shuttle to the venue leaves from the Hampton Inn, located a 5 minute walk from The Hotel Salem. There will be no direct shuttle from The Hotel Salem, only the Hampton Inn, but the shuttle is for ALL wedding guests regardless of hotel. There is no shortage of Uber and Lyft cars as well. If you prefer to drive yourself, our venue has space for up to 100 vehicles to park on the premises. If you choose to stay in Boston in lieu of Salem, Glen Magna is about a 30 minute drive, dependent on traffic.

There will be a bus shuttle running from the hotel to Glen Magna Farms. It is a 20 minute ride in each direction. Shuttle schedule to come. As always, Uber and Lyft are available, as well as on site parking for up to 100 vehicles.

There are no shortage of ~spooky happenings~ to find right outside your hotel doors. Salem is known for its celebration of Halloween - and yes, it's still busy in September. Salem is also a coastal town, with beautiful water views, as well as a short drive from other gorgeous North Shore beaches. I (Michela), as a beach dwelling gal for all of my life, highly recommend you make the trip.
