For full disclosure, we're already married! It makes hosting our Wedding Celebration in France much simpler and the small marriage we had in Smithers, BC allowed Michelle's grandparents (and close family) to celebrate with us.

Les Rives d'Argentière
We will be booking the Hamlet (four separate five star chalets) that host 50 guests from September 10-17 (2025). Our hopes are to fill the chalets for the week with our friends and family. Unfortunately it is only available for weekly bookings, but fortunately the price is similar to a two/three night stay anywhere else in the valley. The cost will be around 400 euros for the week per person (depending on the type of room you get - let us know if you want a cheaper or fancier option). Kids will be 150 euros for a single bed. Each room has a private bathroom and each chalet has its own kitchen and hottub. Some group meals will be planned throughout the stay, but people are also free to buy their own groceries and make their own meals. Meals can also be provided on request with advanced notice for a fee. There is a communal pool, spa, movie room, gym and eating area. The venue is in a beautiful and safe community (with the best bakery in the valley) and is a couple minute walk from the train. Argentiere is a 10-15 minute train ride to Chamonix and the valley is filled with amazing things to do and see! We are fired up!

How to get to Argentiere
The nearest airport is Genève Aéroport located in Geneva, Switzerland. It is an hour drive to Les Rives D'argentiere (the Chalets). We can arrange private transportation through the accommodation for a fee, or we can arrange transportation via bus and train. It is very straight forward and I'm sure lots of people will be arriving at/near the same time.

The local train provides a very convenient connection between Les Rives and the rest of the valley and the bus is a good option for certain trips.
Everyone gets a train pass at check in. It covers the rail line between Les Houches and Vallorcine so you'll only have to pay if you decide to take it further, e.g. St Gervais or Martigney

Food
-We will be providing a welcome brunch as well as rehearsal and reception dinners.
-Each chalet has a full size kitchen you will be able to use and Argentiere has an excellent grocery store with prices similar to Canada but in € except the food is better.
-Many options exist for eating out. Staples such as pastries, coffee, and pizza can be found for excellent prices. We find plate meals cost less than eating out in Canada but again, prices are in €
