There is so much to do & see! We've tried to list some of our favorites, in case you're looking for recommendations while you're visiting the city!
Favorite Restaurant
Michelle - I really like Oso, which is a neighborhood go to for us.
Noah - The Inn by Fumo (The Chick Inn), especially for brunch.
Favorite Bar
Michelle - For a bar up by us, I love Winnie Said. My favorite beer bar is As Is.
Noah - For people who love beer Beer Run Harlem is great and low key. They also have locations on the Upper West Side & Chelsea.
Favorite Midtown Spot
Michelle - I have three go-to spots if I'm in midtown: Dutch Fred's for pre-show cocktails, Bea Bar for dinner, and Hold Fast for post-show drinks.
Noah - Daltons is always a staple on 43rd & 9th, I also enjoy Brazen Tavern on 44th & 9th.
Show to See
It's hard for us to come up with just one or two recommendations (so we didn't). You can use TKTS or TodayTix to check for discounted tickets for many shows!
Michelle - I'm really excited for John Proctor is the Villain. And I have yet to see Maybe Happy Ending. I would also recommend Little Shop of Horrors, Six, Hadestown, and of course, Wicked.
Noah - Off-Broadway I'm excited for BOWLEP coming up. If you're looking for a good night of laughs Titanique and Oh Mary are also a great time.
Tourist Attraction
Michelle - I unapologetically love Chelsea Market. On a nice day, you can walk the High Line and end at Chelsea Market for lunch and shopping. It's especially great for groups where no one can decide on what they want to eat. They have something for everyone.
Noah - I love the Met and the rooftop bar has great views of the Central Park and city.
Favorite Brewery
Michelle - Talea Brewery!! They have locations in Manhattan and Brooklyn.
Noah - Randolph Beer has it all, beer, food, games. I also enjoy Clinton Hall is great and has a few locations. I also enjoy Six Point's beers and they have a downtown Manhattan and Brooklyn location.
Miscellaneous Recommendations
Place to Run:
Michelle - The Central Park 6 mile loop is by far my favorite, but throughout Central Park there are many different loop options to run or bike or walk!
Entertainment:
Noah - The IMAX at the Lincoln Square AMC is the largest IMAX screen in the country. So if catching a movie sounds good to you definitely try to check that out.
Bookstore:
Michelle - McNally Jackson is my favorite bookstore in the city, they have a handful of locations though Seaport is my favorite. And honorable mention to our local bookstore, Book Culture. The 112th location has a great selection of used books.
