It all started at Chuggers bar and grille. Joe was a line cook and it was Mikalas first day as a server. As soon as Joe saw Mikala walk in, he had to know more about her.
The two started talking as friends, and Joe was really there to pick Mikala up during some rough times. One night standing outside of the English pub, Joe asked her if it would be ok for him to kiss her. Mikala shy but delighted said she would love that. A couple weeks later Joe asked Mikala to be his date to a Halloween party, they dressed spooky, laughed a bunch, and did the monster mash all night long.
Joe and Mikala got off to a fast start, only a few months in and Mikala knew she was in love. Driving home from work one night together, a song she never heard came on, 500 miles by the Proclaimers. Out of no where she heard Joe belt out in joy Da-da da da (Da-da da da)! his crazy dancing and wild singing made shy Mikala want to join right in. She was in awe with the fact that Joe was never afraid to be himself no matter how he looked. It was on this night Mikala told Joe that she thinks she is in love with him and Joe felt the same way for her.
After that came years of a beautiful life together. Yes they hit some bumps in the road but through love and dedication they always came out stronger. Mikala has gained a beautiful stepdaughter, Tori. Joe has gained a awesome nephew, Aren, whom they help to raise. And Together they made their wonderfully spirited daughter, Nirvana. They have enjoyed trips to beautiful places, have rocked out at more concerts then they can count, and have been each others support systems through every happy and sad moment.
Its been 10 years... we think its about time !
