Important Notice - All activities will now be taking place at the venue, 209 Thorne Street in Laporte, PA. Worlds End is no longer a part of our wedding.
To reiterate, do NOT go to Worlds End State Park.
Important Notice 2 - As this wedding is taking place in a fairly remote area with limited cell service, please ensure you have a local version of google maps downloaded on your phone, or if you are still living in the 1980s, bring along a road map.
How do we RSVP?
RSVP's were due on July 1st. If you are unable to make the wedding and have yet to contact us, please do so when able. A text or phone call is fine.
RSVP date?
Please respond by July 1st, 2023 so we can send an accurate guest count to our catering service.
What about guests? Can I bring a date?
Please refer to your RSVP card. Due to venue restrictions, seating arrangements & budgetary constraints, guests are limited to those named on your RSVP card.
Where can I stay?
Please refer to the "travel" page on this website for ideas for places to stay. Due to the lack of large hotels in the area, we did not reserve any blocks of rooms. You have many options however, ranging from cabins at a local campground to a luxurious inn near Eagles Mere.
Where is the Ceremony?
Update: The ceremony will now be taking place at the same venue as the reception, Thorne Haven resort. ALL events will now be taking place here.
Where is the Reception?
The reception will occur at the same location as the ceremony, Thorne Haven Resort 209 Thorne Street Laporte, PA 18626
What about Parking?
Parking will be free and ample at the venue.
What will the weather be like?
Average temperatures for this time of year in Northern PA have the high being around 70 with lows around 50. You can expect to see brilliant fall colors during your drive's to and from the venue.
What should I wear?
Please feel free to wear whatever makes you feel comfortable, all that we ask is that your clothing be respectful. The ceremony will be taking place outside in front of our venue in a grassy area. While we don't necessarily have a theme for the wedding, our wedding party will be wearing colors that go well with the fall season.
What about Beverages?
Regarding Beverages, Beer and Wine will be permitted and will be made available free of charge, in limited quantities, during the reception. Big thanks to Pour Mans Brewing Company. You are also welcome to bring your own Beer or Wine. Hard spirits such as liquor, whiskey or vodka will NOT be permitted at the reception.
Are Kids Welcome?
Kids are welcome! Just please be aware our venue will have limited kid friendly amenities, changing rooms, toys, etc.
Can I take pictures or videos?
The ceremony will have a strict "no pictures/no video" policy. Please refrain from taking pictures or videos of the bride or groom during the ceremony. This policy does not apply to the reception, where any and all pictures or videos are welcome.
What do I need to know about the gift registry?
If you feel inclined to send us a gift, please either drop cash, check or money order in the wishing well at our reception venue, or contribute to one of the cash funds found on the "registry" page of this website. Unless they are homemade or sentimental in nature, we would ask you avoid gifting us any physical items as we have very limited space at this time.
