The NC Museum of Natural Sciences is the largest institution of its kind in the South East and one of the nation's most amazing museums about the natural world. This Museum asks four basic questions about the natural sciences—what do we know?, how do we know?, what's happening now?, how can you participate?—with an integrated suite of onsite, offsite, online and outdoor experiences.

The NC Museum of Natural Sciences is located downtown and is easily accessible from any of the hotels.

The NC Museum of History is located downtown, adjacent to the Museum of Natural Sciences. It is also easily accessible from any of the hotels.

CAM Raleigh seeks to curate the most contemporary works of art and design possible—those still emerging, growing, and living. We hope to spark new thinking by creating ever-changing experiences that explore what's now and nearing.

CAM is located in the warehouse district and is within walking distance to the world famous Pit Restaurant, as well as The Depot which is home to Videri Chocolate and a great bottle shop called Tasty Beverage Company.

Although not downtown, NCMA is a great place to spend a morning or afternoon as the sprawling grounds include various art installations as well as a park with sculptures adorning the walkways. To get to NCMA, hop on Wade Avenue heading toward Durham, take the Blue Ridge Road exit and turn right.

The Raleigh Times Bar

The Raleigh Times Bar is a timeless local watering hole and so much more. Raleigh's past, present and future are all on display at this 100 year old building that has been beautifully restored to house this fine establishment. Old press clippings and images from our namesake newspaper adorn the walls and capture the rich cultural and political history that is unique to the Capital City. Our exceptional cuisine, featuring hand crafted, creative takes on classic bar fare favorites, as well as our inventive drink menu and extensive Belgian beer selection are newsworthy additions to Downtown Raleigh.

If this is your first time to Raleigh, you have to check out The Raleigh Times! Located at the corner of Hargett and S Wilmington Streets, this bar is directly across the street from the location of the rehearsal dinner.
