They were fraternity "brothers" before they were lovers! Sean and Mollyann were both members of Alpha Phi Omega service fraternity at NC State University. Go Pack! It was not until the Spring 2012 semi-formal that they really connected. They both attended the event without dates and ended up spending the evening dancing and getting to know one another. A few weeks later after a few more adventures together, Sean officially asked Mollyann to be his girlfriend over dinner at Gravy, one of the restaurants that shares a space with the location of the rehearsal dinner.

How We Met

Mollyann was asked to participate in a bridal styled shoot by Mikkel Paige Photography. However, she did not know that Sean was a part of planning the shoot all along! Sean had secretly been hiding at the photo shoot location the entire day; he had been working with the vendors to make sure everything was set up exactly how he had envisioned it. During the shoot, Mollyann was asked to read a letter. She opened it up and began to read only to realize that it was not just a prop, but a letter that was from Sean. At that moment, Sean was cued to enter the room when the song "Home" by Edward Sharpe &amp; The Magnetic Zeros began to play. He got down on one knee and asked that one very important question, "Will you marry me?". Mollyann was so excited and emotional that she could only nod for a minute and then exclaimed, "Yes!". In her own words Mollyann has claimed that, "It was literally the perfect proposal." When making a reservation, please use the "Russell Wedding" room block. The rate is $155 per night and there is an overnight parking fee of $6. The Merrimon-Wynne House is 2.0 miles from this hotel.The Aloft Hotel is located across the street from the NCSU belltower and main campus, it is within walking distance of Pullen Park and Cameron Village Shopping Center. For guests who are flying in for the wedding we definitely recommend flying into RDU, as it is the closest airport to Downtown Raleigh. Upon arrival, feel free to hop in an RDU branded Taxi or hail an Uber for the 20 minute ride into downtown. Once you make it to your hotel, the city is very walk-able but Uber and Lyft as well as local taxi companies are always available.

The Hampton Inn Downtown Raleigh is located on Glenwood South and is walking distance to many different restaurants and bars. It is only a few blocks from the Capitol, the Science and History museums and an easy cab ride to Fayetteville Street.
