Below is a guide to help you choose outfits for each event. Indian clothing is warmly encouraged for everyone, but always optional. Many guests choose to wear Indian attire for one or more events, and we’d love for you to join in.
How many Indian outfits do you need?
Most non-Indian guests choose to wear 1 to 3 Indian outfits across the weekend. You do not need Indian attire for every event. Many guests mix Indian and non-Indian outfits or rewear outfits across events.
A quick note on weather: the Bay Area can get chilly, even in June, especially near the water. A light jacket or wrap is recommended for outdoor portions of the weekend.
Festive, colorful outfits are encouraged.
Women: casual Indian outfits, summer dresses, or fun separates
Men: casual kurtas or collared shirts with chinos or neat pants
Light, comfortable outfits in any shade of yellow fit the tradition.
Women: light sarees or kurtas, or yellow dresses or separates
Men: yellow or light-colored kurtas, or a simple button-down or polo
Color and sparkle are welcome.
Women: lehengas, sarees, anarkalis, or cocktail attire
Men: kurtas, sherwanis, or an evening suit
If you plan to wear Indian attire for just one event, we recommend saving it for the Wedding Ceremony.

Men: sherwanis or formal kurtas, or a suit
