Where are we supposed to stay?

The Inn at Middleton Place! A block has been reserved for us with the entirety of all 54 of their rooms. Please note, there are no elevators, so you will want a ground level room if stairs are an issue. You will also need to CALL The Inn to book your room and type of room. The 100 building is the main Inn and the 200, 300, and 400 sections are scattered about the property. (middletonplace.org) Do see the "Travel" section on this website for more information!

What does "Black Tie Optional" mean?

The event is formal, but guests have the option of dressing in a less traditional attire, such as a dark suit and tie instead of tuxedo. For women, this typically means they can wear a formal cocktail dress or elegant separates instead of a full-length gown. Morgan + Stefany suggest, "think Old Hollywood glam!" Given the time of year, we encourage everyone to bring some kind of warm coat or outer layer. To note, there will be some outdoor walking involved. Morgan + Stefany will provide high heel protectors for the ladies!

Is there a gift registry?

Morgan + Stefany will be more than grateful for your presence and the gift of your time. Yet after much encouragement, if you are so inclined, we would graciously welcome gift cards to our favorite department store in Mt. Pleasant (Charleston area), Gwynn’s (gwynns.com) or a contribution to our new home/honeymoon fund (TBA). More information in the “Registry/Gift” section.

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Weather permitting, the ceremony and cocktail hour will be outside, with an indoor reception at The Pavillion to follow. Should there be inclement weather, everything will be held inside at The Pavillion.

What is the weather like in Charleston in December?

The average highs are in the mild 46-60F range, while the average lows are between 29-39F. However, it can be very unpredictable, so just keep an eye on the forecast!

If I/we are traveling in from out of town, when should we arrive?

If you are an out-of-town guest, you will be in receipt of an additional communication. Rooms at The Middleton Inn are blocked for the evenings of December 27 & 28. You will need to CALL The Inn to book your room. If you try to book online, you will be told there is no availability due to our block.

I'm single/not married, can I bring a "plus one?"

Given the desire for intimacy and limited number of rooms at The Inn, invitations will be addressed with conscious intention. Please direct any questions in this regard to Morgan or Stefany.

Are kids invited?

While Morgan + Stefany love all of the kiddos in their lives, we have decided this occasion will be limited to adults only. We understand this can be an inconvenience for friends with families, but we are hopeful with the advanced notice, appropriate arrangements can be made for you to thoroughly enjoy a resplendent night out or away!

What if I/we would like to also make this a vacation in Charleston?

We encourage everyone traveling in to stay at Middleton for the wedding (Dec 27-29), but there are so many fantastic hotels in Charleston should you wish to come in beforehand or extend thereafter. With it being off-season, rates will be lower than usual at many of the destination hotels. May we suggest a few of our favorites in different price points... High-end: Hotel Bennett, Charleston Place, The Cooper, The Spectator / Mid-range: The Dewberry, Zero George, The Pinch, The Loutrel / Budget-friendly: Hotel Emeline, Hotel Bella Grace, Moxy, Hotel Indigo

Will there be any more updates or information?

Yes. Any and all updates will be posted on this website under “UPdates,” so feel free to check back any time and especially closer to the event!

Will we also be receiving formal invitations?

Yes! Everyone will be in receipt of mailed invitations requesting official RSVPs. We are requesting everyone to please RSVP on this website, even if you have already RSVP’d previously elsewhere. This website will be our final final for guests attending!
