Stefany: As you'll see from the wedding day's sequence of events, "timing is everything" for us. And always has been... From a random Facebook request by Morgan in October of 2018, to a chance encounter at a fundraiser in Atlanta two months later on December 2, many know our path to the altar has been anything but linear. December 28 has been sacred ever since that year, as it marks the day Morgan battled holiday traffic to traverse the elongated miles from Charleston and landing in Sarasota, Florida after dark. Pulling into my driveway after various delays, we were in a rush to attend Jen's Christmas party, yet still made time for a long embrace where we both felt an involuntary and magical sense of "home." Morgan: Fast forward, as time passed, their love for each other deeply lingered bringing us to where we are today. Stefany: Known for her thoughtful attention to detail around splashy displays of affection and adoration, though not as much when it comes to verbose storytelling, as evidenced by the above "statement." Morgan: I digress...eye roll. I keep the attention to detail locked tight for planning thoughtful experiences &amp; heartfelt surprises made by hand &amp; acted out real time- you will all witness this on our special day for my once in a lifetime love. Now let's get this show on the road...FINALLY!!! Stefany: She's also known for her extreme patience, I guffaw. Don't get me started on the "finally" thing, but we can talk it to death (again), if you'd like. I do fancy the "acted out in real time" part, kinda feels like we may be doing a dance-off during the vows. Maybe I will do a routine after all, and this time, with the fluttery ribbons. Back to "the story," because we've drifted in and out of each other's lives for this many years (that's the short version) driven primarily by your inability to forget moi. Naturally! You should share a little about why we are doing it at Middleton Place. I'll start... Four score, a fortnight, and many moons ago sometime after 'Nam, you began riding and training horses there, a sport and passion you've carried into adulthood. And, in April of 2024, we also attended Jordan &amp; Josh's wedding there, when it sealed the deal as to where we would get married. Mind you, a date we've set on several Gregorian calendars since early 2019. Morgan: ...yep-to the point &amp; ready to roll...So "here we are, face to face" as our friend, Gloria states..."we forget, time &amp; place"..."hold me now, don't let go"...MARRY ME &amp; we shall have a never-ending dance-off through this lifetime &amp; each thereafter. We are over the sun &amp; moon ready to celebrate our love with each one of you, who are so dear to us- Thank you for enduring our comedy segment &amp; choosing to take your precious time to spend with us on our forever day. Stefany: Each and every one of you reading this plays a beloved role in our lives, and we certainly hope you can join us this December, where you will become an even deeper part of "our story." We are excited to create a really special, unique, and FUN experience for all! With our sincere love...

Q + A

All events will take place on the grounds of Middleton Place, so guests will not need to coordinate other transportation or multiple venues. We have reserved all 54 rooms at their Inn for our guests who will be traveling into town, approximately the corresponding amount of people we have estimated who will be making the journey to celebrate.   The room block is for both December 27 & 28. As the on-site accommodations are limited, room types will be based on availability at the time of booking. We encourage everyone to stay at the Inn for ease & convenience, as we have also negotiated a handsome group rate. Everyone will book their own rooms directly with the Inn, referencing the Holmes-Whittemore wedding. 843-556-6020 middletonplace.org

Travel

The grounds of Middleton Place, about 25 minutes from downtown Charleston, boast various gardens, storied rice fields, scenic horseback riding trails, and an on-site restaurant. Depending on availability and timing, you can also book guided tours of the renowned property. (Call in advance to book horseback riding or tours.) middletonplace.org   There is so so so much to do in and around Charleston, please contact Morgan or Stefany should you need any suggestions!

Wedding Day Sequence of Events

Please book your room by Thanksgiving. You will need to CALL The Inn and reference the Holmes-Whittemore party. We have gotten everyone an early check-in starting at 1pm, but please not sooner. Upon arrival, you will be in receipt of more information &amp; details. The property is fairly spread out &amp; a true Inn, so there is no hotel with lobby, etc. As well, the on-site restaurant, is closed for lunch on Saturdays, so you will want to grab a bite on your way in if arriving earlier. The Inn is approximately 20 minutes from the airport and about 30 minutes from downtown Charleston, but do allow for any traffic.

For Out-of-Town Guests

As of 12/24: Merry Christmas!-- Be sure to see all previous updates as they may answer any questions you still may have-- Breakfast is included with your stay and is served at The Lake House daily from 7:30-9:30am, just a short walk from your room.-- We have arranged a trolley to make (3) runs before the wedding and (3) after the wedding as the guest rooms are on the other side of the event areas. -- Trolley runs prior will be 2pm, 2:30pm, 3pm. 2pm will be for immediate family &amp; wedding party participating in photos. Please arrive at pick-up a little early. The trolley will pick everyone up at the central parking lot in front of the Adirondack chairs and firepit, just near The Lodge.-- Trolley will also do pick-ups from the reception at the Pavilion at 10pm, 10:30pm, and the final at 11pm. -- You CAN drive over to the Pavilion for parking, as that's where we will end up for the reception, but cars cannot remain there overnight.-- The Lodge is central to the guest room budlings and is open daily from 9am to 10pm. This is a small concession &amp; bar area. We have arranged for the Lodge to remain open until 1am the nights of Dec 27 &amp; 28. Guests will pay for anything consumed directly.-- You will be given a map upon arrival, please be sure to get your bearings for timing of movements around the property! As of 12/2:-- Our room block has opened back up to the public, but our group will have the majority of the rooms at The Inn. So, it's safe to say, if you see folks on campus, we are all together!-- We have gotten everyone an early check-in starting at 1pm, for both days (and they have kindly asked that no one arrive sooner than that).-- Given this is an Inn, there is no hotel lobby with bar or sitting area at the entrance, etc. You will check-in at a small building and will be guided to your building. They should provide a map of the property so you can get your bearings for where each event will be held. The property is fairly spread out.-- We will be offering trolley service before the wedding (2 runs) and after the reception (2 runs). Upon arrival, you will be in receipt of more details, locations, etc.-- Please note, the on-site restaurant is NOT open for lunch on Saturdays should you be arriving that day. You will want to grab a bite on your way in.-- The Inn is approximately 20 minutes from the airport and about 30 minutes from downtown Charleston, but do allow for any traffic. As of 11/14: — Our room block opens back up to the public 11/27, so please be sure to book your room prior to then!— Reminder that you have to CALL The Inn to book your room. As of 9/21: — Invitations are out/en route! — Please RSVP to this website, even if you have done any kind of RSVP prior, this is the official! (Apologies for all of the communications &amp; requests, we know it’s been slightly confusing!) — For those traveling in, please CALL The Inn to book your room. If you try to book online, you will receive a notice there is no availability. You’ll reference the Holmes-Whittemore party. — Please also see the other updates below! As of 8/28: — Formal invitations will be going out between late September and early October (we are eagerly awaiting them from our designer overseas!) -- RSVPs will kindly be requested by October 28 -- Guests coming in will need to book their rooms no later than November 26. Since there are only 54 rooms at the Inn, rooms are subject to availability. Note: Downtown CHS is about 30 minutes from Middleton Place, we highly encourage staying onsite (it is also magical). — If you are local to Charleston and are wanting to stay at The Inn over the wedding weekend, we kindly ask that you check back with Middleton Place the day before Thanksgiving for their availability, as we want to ensure all guests traveling in from out of town have already booked their rooms. On November 27, the room block is lifted and is opened back up to the public. — After much encouragement, we have added a little more information to the Q+A portion regarding a “registry.”
