Eating out is one of our favorite things to do in San Jose. Here are some of our favorites.

Center of Downtown in Walking Distance of the Hotel:

~Il Fornaio: Across the street from the hotel; this is a very nice Italian restaurant.

~Original Joe's: Just a few steps further, this is a San Jose institution and an old favorite of the family. Excellent Italian food and steaks. We saved our pennies in college to splurge on dinners here.

Little Italy San Jose

A few blocks away is the the Little Italy district that was started by Joshua. It is worth a visit to check out the restaurants there and visit the museum.

~Henry's Hi Life; a rustic steak and barbecue restaurant, located in what was once an Italian roominghouse for immigrants. This is our favorite restaurant in San Jose. We are regulars- if you visit say hi to the bartenders Dave and Ryan!

~Next door is the Italian Cellar Speakeasy Bar, run by Joshua. Visit for great drinks and a casual vibe.

-Littlest Little Italy: Across the street you can find great wine, Italian comfort food, and gelato.
