Leighanne is not only my cousin, she is my best friend. Having been born only a week apart, I think someone somewhere knew that we were bound to be close no matter what. Leighanne and her family moved from Nova Scotia to Calgary when she was an early teen. Fast forward to after high school now and Leighanne started dating a young man that I actually knew in school and one day she asks me to hang out with them and I guess as they say "the rest is history". We were inseparable, we may be family but we choose to be best friends. We would make this joke when we were in our early 20's that Leighanne is the person that will fight for you, any injustice to her friends and family and she will knock them down for you (literally, I've seen it) . Myself, I am the moral support for when she gets back! and giving her encouragement. She is the most stubborn, outgoing, hilarious, loving person I have ever known.

Alyssa is Natasha's older sister. Being that her and I are only 13 months apart our parents pretty much had twins. Growing up whenever she wanted to do something, I being the little sister wanted to do it to. She was in Sparks, so I joined, She was in Gymnastics, dance class, anything! I wanted to be in because I wanted to be with her. Being that she was a grade above me, come Jr. High I was always known to our teachers as "Alyssa's little sister" and it would bug me so much! as I just wanted to be my own person. But as we grew older and as we became closer. I realized how special she is, and then to me and being known as "Alyssa's littler sister" went from being an annoyance to a privilege. She is funny, giving, compassionate, and the best mother to two wonderful children and as far as Big Sisters go, I think I got the golden ticket.
