How I met ur mother! There's no intricate exciting beginning, this is it. We were shitposting meme lords who chronically online'd at eachother for a couple years. August 19, 2019 I added him on Facebook. This ^ was our very first conversation a month later, leading to scattered messages a few times a year until bridesmaid Chae told me he was a big sad in December 2021 and suggested our mutual sad could make us happy, so I sent him a screenshot of our conversation and we met about 2 weeks later.

It was all just a lot of... This. For 3 years 🤣

The day we met ❤️ We went to Hilligers bar and I schooled him at pool, then he basically just moved in with me lmao

We began making the rounds, my friends all enjoyed us together.

He "proposed" to me with a ring pop at Hilligers on a palindrome (it reads the same backwards if you swap the day/month. 22/02/2022) Twosday on a Tuesday we started dating ❤️

A major surprise approaches!! As you might pick out from the date, this was not taken March 12th. March 9th I had suspicions, the 12th I had a test, and April 20th (nice) was the second ultrasound. I had one around March 15th that showed a hemorrhage, after years of medical trouble I didn't even know I COULD get pregnant! They were supposed to schedule me for a hysterectomy the very January that we met, but I wanted to wait til I turned 30, so I'd moved it back and this was our ONLY shot at being biological parents... and it wasn't looking very good to start.

We had big decisions to make, and I decided the best way to make em was on the road. We took off to an air bnb in Florida with no real plan along the way.

We were on the road for 5 weeks. Scoping out every waterfall we could. Meeting our internet friends for the first time and visiting old ones all over the country.

We did every tourist excursion and lame thing we could get ourselves into

Dolphin cruises, snorkeling, photo packages galore. Hotels, air bnbs, cramming trinkets in the trunk...

We only had 2 "fights" the whole trip. Nearly 6 thousand miles, 6 weeks pregnant, hot, tired, dirty, hungry... It was a great test of how we handle stress and high emotions! Especially when Nick made the car REEEEEEK with live conch shells that were uhm... No longer living after 19 hours in the 100+ degree car. Don't let him lie to you, this man loves my vampire dramas. We watched nearly half of The Vampire Diaries before leaving for the trip, and I found out Mystic Falls is a real town in Georgia. We watched a bunch more along the way and I surprised him by pulling into the town on our way back north.

This date is closer to accurate lol we hit the road again a few weeks later for a shorter vacation with my family. This is when we made our pregnancy announcement to our very limited group. It seemed the danger had mostly passed, we survived the trials of being on the road together, the uncertainty of parenthood, the perils of my medical problems, and were finally looking forward to becoming a family.

It's a girl! ❤️❤️ After our initial reveal to those closest, and many failed attempts to tell others face to face, we decided it'd be funny to just bring a baby to Christmas and surprise everyone. I knew it'd be inevitable that I'd be seen before then but I figured we could get some folks with it.

Introducing him to my longest standing social group at the annual BBQ. Masquerade theme for the 10yr was wonderful. More and more people found out about our daughter by this point, I had lots of events to attend and too much watermelon to hide 🤣

I did practically nothing for my 30th birthday and had the BEST time with it too lol (I also left the decorations up for Nick's birthday since we're only about 2 weeks apart!)

The miracle baby was born in November, and survived the trials of the NICU, and a very scary battle with RSV that shook the foundation of everything we'd built. Now we decided to announce to friends we wouldn't get to visit before our big Facebook reveal with our first family Christmas card 😂

He noticed that I love those shitty Hallmark Christmas movies so he decided to give me my own and propose on Christmas 😂🥰 He "forgot a big present" while I was getting dressed to visit our families. Wrapped in about 8 boxes was a Bluetooth speaker, when I pressed the button it began playing "all I want for Christmas is you" 🥺 So now here we are, doing the thing all backwards, well prepared already for what a marriage could entail, and excited to share our special day with everyone!!!
