I HAVE DIETARY REQUIREMENTS
Feel free to add your dietary requirements to the RSVP form. Just let us know if you have any concerns!
DRESS CODE
If it gets you on the dance floor, we are behind it. The bouncers will not ask for black tie, but we do appreciate a three piece.
When should I arrive?
The ceremony starts at 2:30PM, guests are welcome to arrive anytime after 2:00.
IS THERE A GIFT REGISTRY?
We do not have a registry, your attendance is more than enough. If you would like to give something, we will be donating 50% of monetary gifts to The Dugout (https://www.thedugout.org/), an organization providing a community living room and free daily meals in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside, and Doctor's Without Borders (https://www.doctorswithoutborders.org/), who are bringing medical care to people affected by conflict, disasters, epidemics, and social exclusion. The rest will go towards our first home together.
is the wedding inside or outside?
If the sun is shining, the ceremony will be outdoors. However if it is cold or rainy (which it could never be in Ireland), the whole event will be indoors. We like to say that if it isn't raining, it is probably about to be. Sure how else do we get 40 shades of green.
Are children invited?
Depends on your definition, many of us are still kids at heart. But yes children will be invited and explicitly included in the invitations.
WHEN CAN I BOOK ACCOMMODATION ON SITE?
Unfortunately there is limited accommodation space at the venue. We have already sent an email to those who we can offer accommodation to.
I heard about a Cèilidh.
There is a Cèilidh the day before (Friday 8th August). Unfortunately due to limited space we cannot accommodate everyone. A separate email has been sent with an invitation to the Cèilidh.
I am flying from Canada - do I need a visa?
Yes, you do! Canadians will need to get an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) visa to enter Northern Ireland (the UK). The UK government has recently made it mandatory for travellers to get this visa. It is £10 and usually takes 3 days to process. You can find more information here: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/apply-for-an-electronic-travel-authorisation-eta#apply-for-an-eta
