Sequoia and I first met on January 8, 2022 at Billy Bob’s. I was there with some work friends for the Josh Abbott Band concert. Pretty late in the set, he walked up to me and asked me if I’d like to dance, and I turned to my friend because I thought he was asking her. Then turned back to him and said “wait me?” He laughed a little and said “yes, you”. Sequoia is an amazing country swing and two-step dancer, and he really swept me off my feet. The next song or so I turned to my friend and said “I think I’m gonna ask that guy to dance again, he was so fun!” I walked up behind Sequoia, tapped him on the shoulder and said “I’m not done dancing with you”. He looked a little surprised said “yes ma’am”. We spent the rest of the night dancing and getting to know each other. We introduced each other to our friends, and actually ended up all going for pizza after the concert. I’m so thankful Sequoia asked me to dance that night, and I’m so happy I get the best partner in life and on the dance floor forever.

I went dancing at Billy Bobs with friends, part way through the night I noticed Olivia. Even though she denies it, she kept staring and looking at me all night. I told my friends she was, and they didn’t believe me, so I went and I asked her to dance, and we had a great time. A couple songs later while talking to a friend in the house band, Olivia tapped me on the shoulder and said “I’m not done dancing with you yet.” To which I replied “yes ma’am” after that second dance we were inseparable the rest of the night. I made sure to get her number after she got my movie reference from the Princess Bride.
