Dress Code

“And all the fun is in color. My wish for you, is a vibrant, bright, glorious life.” The Love Haters

Feel your best, express yourself fully and be as playful as you want to be. FESTIVE best. Wear the thing you've always wanted to wear but have never had anywhere to wear it. Glitter, sparkles, bold prints, rich jewel tones, your favorite NYE outfit, funky accessories. These are the things that make us feel celebratory, but if none of this excites you, wear whatever makes YOU happy!

Unless Crocs make you happy. Then you'll just have to understand it isn't your day. We do suggest shoes that are comfortable for dancing!

Here's a Pinterest board with some visuals if you need inspiration.

How will I safely get to/from the wedding day venue?

For the wedding day, we will be providing transportation via Hatteras Island Transportation. We will be setting up pickup times that will be staggered so that everyone can arrive in time to be seated for the ceremony. It is extremely important that you be ready at your designated pick up time. We'll follow up with guests attending so that we can give them the information the week before the wedding. If you want to get ahead of it, please email P.J. with your lodging information (pj.ringer1@gmail.com).

When is the deadline to RSVP?

We ask that you RSVP by May 1st for your party. You will be able to RSVP for both the meet and greet on the 19th and the wedding on the 20th. We also ask that you provide any dietary restrictions with your RSVP.

Can I RSVP online or do I have to mail in an RSVP card?

We request that you RSVP on this site. You can RSVP for your entire party. https://www.theknot.com/us/p-j-ringer-and-chuck-lane-jun-2026/rsvp

Am I allowed to take photos at your wedding?

We request that you not take photos during the ceremony. We will trust our photographer to capture the moments we want and would appreciate if our friends and family were in the moment with us during this time. We will have a QR code for sharing photos from other times during the wedding and encourage you to share them with us. Our hashtag is #2Rings1Lane

Is the event indoors or outdoors?

We are planning on an outdoor ceremony, but will move inside in the event of rain. Dining will be indoors and the reception will be tented.

What is the weather normally like this time of year?

We will update this information as we get closer to the date, but for planning purposes the historical high is 85° and the historical low is 72°. And, of course, it will probably be muggy as the humidity is normally ~75% at that time of year.

Can we bring kids?

We’re aiming for an adult-focused gathering but do plan to have some kids in the family attend. If bringing your kids is important for you, we’d still prefer having you with them than not having you at all! Please let us know so we can update your party information for proper headcounts.
