This is an IHG hotel. Robby and I will be staying here starting Wednesday, April 30 and leaving Sunday, May 4. We are getting in early because we need to go to the courthouse to do some paperwork.

We will be getting our hair and makeup done in our suite, at this hotel.

Do not feel obligated to stay at the same hotel. There are several options in the area. I listed several below but I'm sure there are more. Thursday night will be in the SW Waterfront area.

Museums and such are within walking distance of the SW Waterfront. The boat will drop us off on Friday at the SW waterfront and I will choose a Saturday morning brunch location within walking distance of the SW waterfront location.

This hotel is about a block from the Intercontinental. It has a rooftop bar that I am looking at booking something at one of the days.

This hotel is also really close (block or two at most) to the Intercontinental and Hilton Canopy (and the water) but another option for those that carry these types of points.

Moving a little further away from the water and a little closer to The Mall (where the museums are). You will find yourself about .5 miles from the water and just under a mile from the museums at this hotel.

Another IHG hotel, this one has a rooftop pool (many DC hotels do, something I really miss). You will find yourself almost exactly halfway (3/4 mile on each side) between the museums and the water/the Intercontinental at this hotel and for nearly half the cost.

If you are a Marriott points carrier, this Residence Inn is just under a mile from the water/the Intercontinental and just under a mile from the mile National Gallery of Art Museum.
