The Queen Mary is Longer and Faster than the Titanic

Her interior features some of the grandest, most intricate and beautiful interior designs ever aboard an ocean liner influenced by the Art Deco movement of the 1920's and 30's


The Queen Mary Has made over 1001 Trans-Atlantic crossings


This has resulted in at least 49 recorded deaths and it's said that as many as 150 different spirits haunt the ship. The Ballroom that the Wedding Ceremony is in is specifically haunted by the ghost of a Chef who was locked in the walk in oven and burned alive by the crew.


During WW2 The Queen Mary was nicknamed The Grey Ghost due to it's new grey paint job and how swiftly it moved seamen across the atlantic.


Her worse war time accident occurred on Octber 2, 1942 when she collided with a British antiaircraft cruiser resulting in the death of 236 British seamen


On October 31, 1967 The Queen Mary was permanently docked in Long Beach CA.


In 1988 Walt Disney bought The Queen Mary with plans to turn it into the Hotel of a Long Beach based theme park.


The large white dome next the The Queen Mary today serves as the port for Carnival Cruise LInes but prior to that it was home of the famous Spruce Goose


The small black submarine off the bow of the ship is the Scorpion, a retired Russian submarine that was stationed one mile off the east coast of the US during the Cold War
