Back Then, Not Yet… But Always You.

We met in 2014, during one of our performing arts classes at school. We met as teenagers and were friends— well, flirty friends— through high school and beyond. While the timing was never quite right back then, there was always a spark between us. Years later, in our early 20s, that friendship turned into something real, and the rest is history.

The Soundproof Room (2015)

One of our earliest memories together goes all the way back to high school choir class. In 2015, we were partnered for a project and decided to practice in a quiet room tucked away from the rest of the school. What we didnt realize? The room was soundproof. Isaac brought his guitar (of course), and what started as a quick rehearsal turned into an hour and a half of music, laughter, and getting completely lost in each other’s company.
Before we knew it, the bell had rung, the next class had started, and we were blissfully unaware. Our teacher gave us a hall pass and a knowing smile — and that’s when the rumors started.
People said we liked each other. We just weren’t ready to admit it yet.

The Proposal

After a beautiful dinner at an Italian restaurant for a birthday celebration, Isaac had one more surprise up his sleeve. He brought me to a quiet, hidden bridge in Nashville, overlooking a peaceful little pond. There, with no one around — he asked me to marry him. It was simple, intentional, and so full of love. It was perfect.

The Greatest Chapter: Being Mom and Dad

One of our most beautiful memories came with the arrival of our son, Brooks. From the moment we found out we were expecting, Isaac stepped into full-on superdad mode — especially when it came to cravings. Whether it was gummy worms at 3am or something oddly specific and hard to find, he never hesitated. He made sure I was taken care of, comfortable, and never without exactly what I wanted to eat. The night our son was born was the most emotional, life-changing experience we’ve ever shared.
Holding him together for the first time - just the three of us — was a moment that made everything before and everything after feel complete.
