Back in January 2021, in the midst of the Pittsburgh winter, Punam and Chris began their story. Punam had just started a three-month residency rotation at AGH in the North Side while Chris lived a stone’s throw away in the South Side. Just like any love story worth telling, the two met on Bumble, and after an exchange of emojis and phone numbers, their first date was set. The two shared a few drinks, jokes, and thereafter Chris found himself with a second career as Punam’s official tour guide of Pittsburgh.

Over the next three months, the two got close and decided to continue their relationship after Punam had returned to Philadelphia. After many, many trips back and forth across the state of Pennsylvania, Chris soon began to spend more time in Philly, and eventually called it home as well. The two made their biggest move to date when they decided to journey out to Phoenix, Arizona. After just shy of a year in Phoenix, Chris couldn’t contain his feelings any longer!!! He proposed to Punam, and surprised her with flights to Boston to celebrate with their families :)
