Our Wedding

We are proof that dating apps can work! "I made the cut out of 264 guys; I was victorious," says Alex. Some people may think we are moving fast, but we have waited 30+ years to meet each other. When we started our relationship, we knew that our love was rare. Topics like expectations for our relationship, marriage, children, where to live, all came up quickly and were discussed with ease and mutual respect early on in our relationship. Family is important to both of us, but so is football. We had been dating for nearly five months, having divided all the holidays equally between our two families. Enough was enough when it came to Super Bowl LIX. We told both our families that they had to pick which house we were going to watch the game together because we were not willing to miss any part of that game. And, that's how our families met. During our first year together, actually six months into our relationship, we experienced a lot that couples do not experience so early on. We both had medical conditions to tackle causing us to have to support each other in a way neither one of us thought we had to do for a very long time. Then, Rachel's father passed away, and Alex had to support her and her family in a way he has never had to support anyone before. For Rachel, she already knew that she wanted to spend the rest of her life with Alex, but all the work and emotional support Alex provided to her and her family made her certain that she wanted to marry Alex. In Boston, five weeks into their relationship, Alex first told Rachel he was going to marry her one day. After going through what we did for those six months solidified it for him. So when July 20, 2025, came, we knew getting engaged was right for both of us in every way. Together, we enjoy traveling inside and outside of the United States, walking around Grounds for Sculpture, watching our sports teams disappoint us weekly, attending concerts, brewery hopping, and the occasional fancy date night. How do we do all of this you might ask? A minimum of two cups of coffee each per day, and on a rare occasion we get to enjoy drinking them slowly.

Hello! My name is Cassondra and I am 28 years old. I love traveling, cooking, and spending time with family & friends! I am a caretaker and am currently in school to receive my licensure for real estate. I am also engaged to my fiancé Ryan. YEAHHHHH!

I met Rachel years ago when we worked together at Olive Garden. We always had fun talking and I looked forward to seeing her when I could. On slow nights we would be in the back of the restaurant giggling, telling eachother about our lives and what we wanted. Its crazy how fast forward years later, now i am in her wedding and she is getting MARRIED!!!!

How We Met
Rachel and I both work at MLK, but since we teach different subjects, we never really had the chance to connect. That changed this past summer when we both attended an arts integration workshop in Princeton through the school. We ended up sitting together and started talking, and during our lunch break we decided to grab food and do a little shopping. I even helped her pick out a dress for her engagement announcement! That day really sparked our friendship, and from then on, we became close.
Since then, our lives have blended so naturally—my husband, Alex, and Rachel all share a love for IPA beers and football (even if Rachel and Alex are Patriots fans!). We also bond over music, concerts, and fun game nights.
A Favorite Memory
Every time Rachel and I get together, it’s filled with laughter and great memories. One of my favorites was Marvin’s birthday. Rachel had the brilliant (and dangerous!) idea that we should take a shot every time the Patriots or the Steelers scored. Let’s just say… Marvin ended up so drunk that he doesn’t even remember us singing “Happy Birthday” or him blowing out the candles on his cake! It was such a fun night, full of laughter and unforgettable moments.
All About Me
Above all else, I am a proud mother of two amazing children, Tristan and Chloe—they are my everything. Tristan is 17 and a junior in high school who plays football, and Chloe is a talented dancer who trains in a variety of styles. I’ve been married to my husband Marvin for 17 years, and I’ve been teaching for the past 23 years across four different schools.
I love all kinds of music, going to concerts, visiting comedy clubs, and simply having a good time with the people I care about. I have a big heart and would do just about anything for those in my life—and one of my favorite ways to show love is through cooking. 
I love holidays, specifically Christmas and Halloween. I enjoy dressing up in costumes and decorating my house.
