Walk to the Beach – While parking at Brewster’s beaches is restricted to residents, chances are it’s just a short walk to the beautiful beaches of Cape Cod Bay from your accommodations.
Spend an afternoon in Provincetown – Escape to the magical shores of P-town! Known as the oldest continuous art colony in the country, P-town offers charming shops, restaurants, art galleries and more in a place which celebrates individuality and freedom of expression. Its typically a 45 minute drive from Brewster unless you’re driving at the beginning or end of a weekend.
The fish pier serves as a thriving coastal commercial fishing establishment and popular tourism destination. Observe the treacherous Chatham Bars from the observation deck and daydream about the ship wrecks and folklore illustrated in the 2016 film The Finest Hours.
Visit the Coastal Flats of Brewster - The Brewster Flats are the largest tidal flats in North America with 12,000 acres of stunning beauty exposed at low tide. The sand often extends more than a mile from shore revealing seemingly endless arrays of bars, ripples, pools, and rivers. One of our great joys is sharing the magic of the flats with guests as we explore this remarkable landscape.
Relax on the Front Lawn at Ocean Edge – Looking for a place where kids, adults, and everyone in between can take in the fresh Cape Cod air while enjoying lite bites and drinks? Look no further than The Front Lawn at Ocean Edge. With various tented spaces for shade, an outdoor oven, a kitchen shed, lawn games, and various drink options, this is much fun in the sun to be had.
Walk the Woods and go Swimming in the Pristine Freshwater Ponds of Nickerson State Park – Nickerson State Park is a 1,900 acre park in Brewster with over 400 campsites, 8 freshwater ponds, and 8 miles of bike paths. Enjoy hiking, biking, fishing, swimming, boating and more. Big Cliff Pond has accessible parking and beaches and the adventurous can hike from there to the secluded waters of Higgins Pond.
Visit the Stringe Gallery Art & Antiques – Located across the street from the Front Lawn at Ocean Edge, the Stringe Gallery features the original water colors of award winning Cape Cod artist Tom Stringe and fine country antique furniture and accessories from Tymeless antiques.

Go Shopping in Chatham’s Town Center – Find unique shops, galleries, restaurants and more on Main Street in Chatham (20 minute drive)
Marvel at the Views from the Ocean Terrace and Enjoy the Ambiance of the Roscommon Room at Ocean Edge – With stunning views of Cape Cod Bay, the Ocean Terrace and its menu is the talk of the town. The whiskey of the turn-of-the-century style Roscommon Room offers a glimpse into the resort owner’s roots in County Roscommon, Ireland.
Have Dinner at the Brewster Fish House – Our favorite dining spot on Cape Cod features exceptional New England seafood, local produce, unique drinks and more in a small intimate setting. While they do not accept reservations, ‘Call Ahead’ seating is available and early or late dining is recommended.
