What are some restaurants in and around town that The Bride and The Groom would recommend?

1. Modern Bird - Now the favorite spot in town. Don't pass up the smoked carrots. The key lime pie is beautiful and delicious.

2. Farm Club - Just outside of town. Very popular, can be a tough table, but one of the most renowned restaurants in the area. Make sure to try the Pet Nat if you're into wine.

3. Glendale Burger Shop - Some of the best burgers ever. Do not skip.

4. The Cooks' House - If you're looking for a tasting menu, they've got it. Reservations highly recommended.

5. Little Fleet - A cute outdoor food truck spot. A great beer, wine and cocktail selection, and several fun options for when you can't decide what sounds good.

6. Art's Tavern (Glen Arbor) - Classic bar food in a historic spot near Sleeping Bear Dunes. Heavy on the Michigan beer, wine and spirits, and also fried food.

7. The Backlot (Petoskey) - Happy's Tacos food truck is chill and delicious, and is absolutely worth the drive. Get their smoked potato taco and bask in the glory of Michigan sports being played on all the TVs.

If we are staying for the weekend, what are some other towns worth driving to?

1. Petoskey - Hemingway spent a lot of time here, and the town could not have more beautiful views of the water. Smaller than Traverse City, and less built up and crowded. Absolutely worth the drive, and all around winding country roads past amazing farm stands.

2. Harbor Springs - It's cute, it's tiny, and it has Tom's Mom's Cookies.

3. Elk Rapids - It's also tiny, and it's surrounded by water. The Walk of Art Sculpture Park is small, but a very cute (albeit sandy) little walk along the water.

4. Glen Arbor - The largest town closest to Sleeping Bear Dunes. The Cherry Republic is touristy, but is a cute spot to sit outside and grab a sandwich and some cherry-themed souvenirs.

5. Suttons Bay - On the way to the end of the Leeleenau Peninsula, which is well worth the scenic drive. Solid stops for food and drink on the way there or back.

6. Leland - Visit The Find North for one of the cutest shops in the area (and if you're feeling ambitious, drive up to Northport and visit their second location). Fishtown is a historic fishing village right on the water worth seeing.

Will The Bride ever shut up about how amazing Michigan is?

No, and now you won't either. :)
