Q + A

What should I wear?

We encourage you to wear what makes you feel comfortable that is also fun and festive for the occasion! There is no formal dress code but we recommend semi-formal attire. We also advise wearing some layers because it is an outdoor venue and it could get chilly into the evening.

What if there is inclement weather?

This is an outdoor venue so weather is a consideration. There is a tent that will be set up if rain is forecast for our wedding weekend, and the main pavilion is covered. Weather in October can be unpredictably hot or cold in Hood River, so make sure to check the forecast beforehand and bring a warm coat if necessary. We will also have heaters set up if it gets chilly!

What is the parking situation?

There is ample parking onsite for all our guests. We want our guests to be able to plan accordingly; the venue does not allow overnight parking and there is essentially no Uber or Lyft in Hood River.

What time should I arrive?

The ceremony is scheduled to begin at 4:00 PM, but we encourage people to arrive up to 30 minutes early (3:30 PM) for a champagne welcome. See the Wedding Day Schedule tab for a more complete schedule of the day.

What kind of food will be served?

We are SO excited about our caterer! We had the opportunity to try a bunch of their food at a catering event at our venue and it was 10/10 delicious. They specialize in fresh farm-to-table meals. We'll be serving passed hors d'oeuvres during cocktail hour and family style entrees during dinner.

What if I have dietary restrictions?

Just let us know about any allergies or dietary restrictions when you RSVP so we can inform our caterers in advance. There will be lots of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options.

Are kids invited?

Yes! We love kids, they're part of the family and they bring the life and energy to the party. If you're invited then your kids are invited too! Just give us a headcount on your RSVP.

Why are you getting married in Hood River?

We love Hood River in the fall, it’s so beautiful! We go there every year as an annual getaway to do apple picking and wine tasting. It's a really meaningful spot for us already and we're so happy that soon we'll get to remember it as the place we got married. We also like that it is a convenient and accessible location that is centrally located for our guests that are coming from far and wide for the big day.
