Amelia Island

Some tidbits of information to help with your travel plans! The hottest event of the year (besides our wedding) is being hosted the same weekend: The Amelia Island Shrimp Festival. So book your accomodation swiftly! The closest airport is Jacksonville International (JAX). It is about a 45 minute drive from the airport to the island. Rental cars and Ubers/Lyfts are readily available from the aiport. Airport transport is also available with the companies listed below. Take the A1A (Heckscher Drive) if you've got some time to kill - it's a nice scenic route. If y'all are feeling real bougie, there is a private airport on the island. We will be providing a shuttle service to and fro the wedding venue. Rideshare services on the island are limited.

Isle Of Eight Flags Shrimp Festival

One of the best breweries on the island. Their Cosmico IPA is delicious.

If you need a break from the booze, Fort Clinch State Park has a great self-lead walking tour. It's on the north tip of the island so you get some pretty cool views + history!
