Arranging hotel accommodations in New Haven has been by far the most challenging aspect of planning our wedding (so far). Room rates, even with a group discount, are more expensive than we anticipated. We know that many of you will incur additional travel expenses for planes, trains, and/or car rentals, so we sincerely apologize for the added expense.
Due to limited room availability at each hotel, and to offer a range of hotel experiences and price points, we have room blocks reserved at three different hotels, ranging from upscale boutique to more traditional. We have also included additional hotel options where we do not have a room block. We hope you can find a hotel that fits your needs.
Discounted accommodation options at this beautiful boutique hotel include Deluxe King and Double Queen rooms. To book a room at the discounted rate, visit the website below and enter your selected date(s). The website may initially show Friday, October 10, as unavailable, but the room block availability will appear once you complete the next step. Select "Special Codes or Rates" and toggle to enter the Group Code (not Promo Code) FIN@LLY25! and click "Apply." Next, click "Search" for your selected date range with the discounted rates now applied, and select your room type. The Deluxe King is the default room type, so click "View More Rooms" if you want a Double Queen room.
You may also call the hotel and identify yourself as part of the Swoape & Karwic wedding when making your reservation. You will be required to provide a credit card at the time of making the reservation to guarantee the stay, but no charges are accessed until check-out.
All unclaimed rooms will be released on September 12, 2025. All guestrooms feature a full kitchenette, and the state-of-the-art fitness center is open 24 hours a day. Valet Parking is available for overnight guests for $33 per night (no access from 11pm-7am).
Discounted accommodation options include King and Double (two double beds) rooms. Please visit the dedicated reservation page to book directly at the discounted rate (no promo code required). Guests may also call the hotel at any time of day and reference the “Swoape/Karwic Wedding” to book over the phone at the discounted rate. All unclaimed rooms will be released on September 10, 2025.
Valet Parking with in/out privileges is available for overnight guests for $34 per night.
Discounted accommodation options include King and Double Queen rooms, with upgrades available for corner rooms or rooms with a view of the Yale campus. Please visit the dedicated reservation page to book directly at the discounted rate (no promo code required). Guests may also book by phone by calling Omni Reservations at 1-800-THE-OMNI and referencing the "Swoape/Karwic Wedding Block at Omni New Haven Hotel at Yale." All unclaimed rooms will be released on August 26, 2025.

While this is the largest and most affordable hotel in downtown New Haven, it is not without shortcomings. The interior is clean but dated, and Temple Street outside the hotel has a lively nightclub scene and sometimes attracts panhandlers. When making reservations, please request a room that is on a higher floor and/or not street-facing to avoid potential noise issues.
While we do not have a discounted room block at this hotel, it is centrally located next door to The Study should the room blocks fill up at the official wedding hotels.
This may be an option for you if you want to use or earn Marriott points. While we do not have a discounted room block here, the hotel is located approximately 0.5 miles from downtown New Haven attractions and the official wedding hotel blocks.
The fully renovated Hotel Marcel is a landmark of brutalist architecture and Bauhaus design. As a 100% electric hotel that operates fossil-fuel free, Hotel Marcel has created a new standard for sustainability and environmentally friendly hotel operations. It is located in the Historic Long Wharf District near the waterfront (approximately 1.5 miles from downtown), adjacent to IKEA.
