What should I wear?

Cocktail to semi-formal is perfect. Think garden party, not black tie. We recommend comfy shoes for a wooded ceremony area, but the main reception area is safe for heels. Extra points for florals, jewel tones, or enchanted forest vibes.

Is the ceremony indoors or outdoors?

The ceremony will be held outdoors at Twin Willow Gardens, with covered areas for cocktail hour and reception. There are paths through the gardens for guests who’d like to wander, and dancing out in the evening air. In case of rain, we have umbrellas for the ceremony, a reception tent, and other covered spaces... but keep your fingers crossed for us anyway!

What time should I arrive?

The ceremony starts at 4:30 PM sharp. We recommend arriving by 4:15 to park, get settled, and take in the scenery. Cocktail hour begins at 5:00 PM, and dinner will be served at 6:00 PM.

Is there parking at the venue?

Yes! Twin Willow Gardens has plenty of on-site parking. (And please note: Ride shares are sparse near the venue, so either schedule them in advance, or plan to drive or carpool.)

Can I bring a plus-one?

If your invite included a guest, then yes! Otherwise, feel free to reach out if you're unsure—we’d love to help clarify.

Are kids welcome?

Yes! We love your kids, and we’re excited to celebrate with the whole family. We will have a babysitter on-site per venue requirements, and a few activities set up for them... but let us know if you have any questions or concerns so we can make sure you and your little ones are able to celebrate with us stress-free!

Will food and drinks be served?

Absolutely. We’ll have dinner, dessert, and drinks covered—come hungry and ready to toast. Dinner will be served family-style, and we will have signature cocktails, wine, beer and non-alcoholic options available at the bar.

From out of town

What’s the weather like in June?

Unpredictable, in classic Seattle fashion. We could get sun, mist, a sudden breeze, or all of the above in one afternoon. Layer up and bring a jacket just in case - but we'll have covered areas, heaters and firepits, and a few blankets on hand to snuggle up under.

Where should I stay?

Here are a few hotels we recommend, depending on your vibe and budget. For cost-conscious visitors, we recommend checking out AirBnBs or VRBO—the area is fairly rural, so hotels quickly slide from "boutique" to "camping".

If you are struggling to find lodging, please let us (or either of our hospitality-industry siblings, Jamie and Erin) know—we are happy to make more detailed recommendations or review options for logistical feasibility.

What airport should I fly into?

Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) is your best bet. It's about an hour from the venue, depending on traffic.

Do I need a rental car?

If you’re planning to explore beyond Seattle or attend the wedding, yes. Rideshare options are very limited in Snohomish and surrounding areas. Rental cars or carpooling with friends are your best options.

How far is the venue from Seattle?

Twin Willow Gardens is about an hour from downtown Seattle, depending on traffic and the time of day. Give yourself extra time, especially with the FIFA event happening the same weekend.

Can I Uber to the wedding?

We don’t recommend it. Rideshares are spotty to nonexistent in this area—if they drop you off, they likely won’t come back to pick you up. Definitely plan to drive or hitch a ride with someone.

What else should I do while I’m in town?

We’ve got a whole Things to Do page for that! Whether you're into waterfalls, indie museums, coffee shops, or throwing fish at Pike Place, we've got you covered.
